I have an he2 Kenmore gas dryer and it cost me $109 to replace my electric/main control board. My part was refurbished, but you wouldn't know it. It looked brand new when I got it and it's been working great. I've seen them for $250 brand new. They are easy to replace (just make sure you constantly touch the metal around your dryer to disburse any static electricity your body may have built up. You can fry your electric board with one shock of static electricity). My board had was held on by one screw and some tabbed slots. Very easy to DIY. I bought my part from a place called, here's the link:
TV parts Water Filter Washer parts Laptop Parts Replacement Parts...

They have overnight shipping if you need your part right away. I found them to be awesome. It's great to have my dryer back and working.

A repair man quoted me $450 to repair my dryer. I did it myself for $144 (the part and the overnight shipping).

My kenmore elite calypso will not do final spin.flashes LD. I replace the pump as was suggested,still did not fix froblem

Hello Alex;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

After review of your washer components, there is a strong possibility that you have a bad electronic control board. You have two control boards, one is for the motor and one for the other functions.

Washer electronic control board for Kenmore Elite Washer model #11021062001 Electronic control board 8571359 is the circuit board that manages the washer's functions, such as filling, washing, draining and spinning. It sends voltage to the drive motor and other electro-mechanical component.

Cost: $218.00

If you elect to replace the board make sure you ground yourself by rubbing your hands on something that is bare steel. Static electricity will knock a board out.

All appliances with electric control boards should have a surge protector. You can purchase a wall socket surge protector for $20-25.00. It is a good investment considering how expensive control boards are.

Rule of thumb; "If the unit is either 7 years old or the cost of repair is 1/3 or more of the original price, purchase a new unit.

Consider it purchasing a new unit, stripping your existing unit for parts to sell on e-bay. You will make a little money and save others expensive parts cost.

Hello Gentlemen;

My name is Peter; I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

The two of you are on the right track.

The board that you replaced;

Substitution: 5303918498
The electronic control board controls the major electro-mechanical components in the refrigerator. When the electronic control board senses the compressor needs to run to cool the refrigerator, it sends voltage to the compressor and fans. It then receives input from temperature sensors to monitor the temperatures inside the refrigerator and freezer sections.

This is a substitution and can not communicate with your existing electrical control board. You need tor replace this board was well:
Substitution: 241973711 Cost: $83.00

The electronic control board 241973711 controls the major electro-mechanical components in the refrigerator. When the electronic control board senses the compressor needs to run to cool the refrigerator, it sends voltage to the compressor and fans.

When you plugged in your old board and got power, that is because the two boards were communicating.

When you change the board be careful to ground yourself by touching something that is bare metal. Static electricity will knock out a board.

The Electrolux Frigidaire Refrigerator is a good unit. It should last you 20-30 years. If you want a unit that is in constant repair, buy either a Samsung or LG. They have the highest failure and repair cost of all of the manufacturers.

F11 CODE on 110.45966400

The ECU is often referred to as the CCU. F11 is Serial Communication Error Between MCU and CCU - Disconnect power and unplug unit. Check wire harness connections to the motor, Motor Control Unit (MCU), and Central Control Unit (CCU). Check the drive system for any worm or failed components and reconnect power and plug unit in. Verify CCU is working by performing diagnostic test or any cycle. Check MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor and check drive motor for powered rotations. Also check the motor and wire harness. Replace defective part

F35 error same diagnosis part not available

It all started several years back when manufactures decided that electronic controls was better than mechanical controls or should I say easier to give the machine more options and cheaper cost to build, but with a trade-off that electonics go crazy with the slightest wrong electric impulse and you are stuck with the outcome.
Mechanical controls (although they can wear in time) are more reliable overall and usually give you some worning that something is going wrong. Another aspect of electronic contols is that they are more expensive to replace ( that is,the part price). Example, mechanical timer part cost is $50-95, whereas an electromic timer is $90 -160.
I always recommend to customers: please do not buy the machines with electronics if you can avoid it; stay with the mechanical style--- this includes dishwashers as well.
Your idea of a rampant problem and the manufactures idea of rampant are 2 different levels. They look at it as how much it will cost to recall ( since it is not a problem of a dangerous nature; No liability involved) as apposed to how much it costs to back up a warranty request from time to time.
So, next time you buy a major appliance, figure your cost at $200 more than what you pay at the moment, because you will pay the extra in the near future. This is not so much a solution to the machine as it is a solution to the mind. Good Luck, Macgivor.

Volume control stuck on max AKAI CT2716

It seems that you most likely allowed some liquid to flow down to the circuit board. I can probably gaurantee that there is damage done to the control circuits for the uPC or the uPC itself.

You will have to give the set out for service. You may be lucky and it is only the control board including its electonics that has to be replaced. If the damage was done to the uPC or if there is a damaged buffer IC on the main circuit board between the uPC and the control panel this repair will be very costly compared to just replacing the control panel cirucuit board.

When cleaning a TV screen use a very soft lint free tissue paper. Use only some light spray of a very weak or diluted glass cleaner, or just water on to the tissue paper. Never put enough liquid that there is a possiblity of some of it dripping down in to the circuit board.

I personal use a light spray of water on a soft tissue. This is safe, and will not remove the optical coating on the screen surface.
