Either the motor is bad or you need a new control panel

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Motor does turn and smells like something burning

there is nothing that can smell like burning such as a slipping belt in dishwashers, but there is a heating element (the metal element loop at the bottom of the machine (inside where the dishes go). Check to see if a plastic item got stuck to this element. If not, then you need a professional to check the underside of machine for bad connections. Good luck, Macgivor.

Water not draining

lets start with the easy things. first you havent replaced your disposer recently and forgot to remove plug if you did remove plug in disposer if you didnt then i would check your drain hose were it hooks up to disposer or plumbing under sink. remove hose and inspect for garbage, gunk. may want to put gloves on. we use a screwdriver to clean out, clean hose and hole were hose hooks up to disposer. also hook up a vacuumm to hose and let it **** out for a minute or two something could be clogged halfway in hose. if all this does not help then something is defenitly wrong with dishwasher. open door remove 1/4 inch screws holding covers in rear , take covers out and inspect for something clogging if nothing then id say u have a bad pump roughly 69.99-189.99 for part dependeing on were you live and who you use labor 85-165.00. hope the easy things work out.

How to hook up the water to the dish washer

Hi,
Your dishwasher has a water line in and a waste water tube on the back of it. You need a source water line where the DW is at and you simply connect it. The drain hose needs to hook up to a waste water trap on a sink or somewhere. Power it up and that should be all there is to it. I suggest that you hook it up with a couple of extra feet of hose though incase you need to pull it out for service or something. FYI..
Thanks!

I have a GE Nautilus dishwasher GSD2230F01WW is it hooked into the hot water under the sink or the cold ?

It should definitely be hooked into the hot water...and the temp of the hot water should be around 120degrees and not to exceed 150 degrees as dish damage can occur. There is a heat assist in the DW that helps to heat the water temp also.
I hope this helps....good luck and good day...thank you for rating my effort....The Fang.

GE NAUTILUS DISHWASHER

The pump motor may be stuck. If this is the case, as it often is with a GE dishwasher, you can break it loose (e.g. spin the impeller until it doesn't spring back any more). If it's not stuck, it may have something inside of the pump motor and it may need to be replaced.

GE Nautilus Dishwasher

if the dishwasher has not been used for a few weeks, the water in the sump that goes into the pump will evaporate causing the pump to freeze up. usually you can turn the fins inside the motor to free it up. make sure the dishwasher is not on when you do this.

GE Nautilus Dishwasher Problem

check water level is ok. check its heating. open door when in operation and check if spray arms are rotating. if not, take them out, run water into centre hole and check water comes out of jets. note the spray arms only rotate with water coming out of angled jets at end
