Question about Vizio E550VL 55 in. LCD HDTV
I can look down and see no lights on. when I put a light up to screen I can see the menu come off and on.
Check and replace the back-light inverter. Check the associated circuit parts too. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy. Surf the site with patience.

If screen is gray glowing, the T-CON is bad or it is not getting the 12vdc from the logic board. You may have problem with logic board but do some voltage checking first.
