Drum pedal for Wii Guitar Hero World Tour will not work. Do I need to change battaries?

Ok ... how do I change the battaries?

  • daspits Jun 16, 2009

I can't find the battary compartment. Where the drum pedel plugs into the kit, there is a cover and tiny screw, but when the screw is undone, the panel won't come off. I'm afraid to force it for fear of breaking it. And if this is where the battery is, it's smaller than a AA. Any suggestions?

There are no battaries in the drum pedal, and I can't find a compartment in the drim kit itself. Any suggestions?

then there is a chance that there is a internal problem, the main board may be malfunctioning.

Yes. Try changing the batteries. If that does not work then make sure everything is connected properly. And if that still does not work then the pedal is likely broken Either because the pedal actuator(button) has been damaged, or a connection issue. If this is the case then it needs to be replaced(hopefully under warranty), but try the batteries first!!

sorry! Good Luck!! Hopefully you cam jam out on the wii drums soon!!

It depends on which model you have, but as general advice i would say look on the BOTTOM OF THE MAIN DRUMS(where the wire to the pedal comes from). Look for a plastic "door" that either unscrews or "unlatches", take batteries out(i think they are AA). Put new batteries in correctly. That should be it. But depending on the model, the batteries may be on the pedal if it is wireless.

I hope you can find it!

Where can I get my drum kit fixed? The red drum

You could try taking it to a game store like GameStop. People there are usually very helpful when somethings is wrong. Sorry that I could not help myself.

If you are a DIY kind of person, you could go to http://www.goodinput.com/2008/10/27/guitar-hero-world-tour-drum-fix/ and try that. Be warned, it looks kind of complicated.

Guitar Hero World Tour for Wii won't load

Solution: Wii Console needed to download a software upgrade from the web to run Guitar Hero World Tour. Internet connection in our home is via a Linksys ADSL wireless router. Entered Wii Setup menu (select Wii button on bottom left of screen). Changed Connection 1 from None to Wireless. Wii picked up the SSID broadcast from the router. Did a Test Connection which worked. Wii Console prompted me to 'download Wii System Upgrade from Web?'. Clicked OK. Download took approx 10 mins. On completion of download Guitar Hero World Tour loaded automatically. Note: I have read that the Wii uses wireless protocol 802.11b. Make sure your router has both 802.11g and 802.11b enabled or 802.11b only for the duration of the download. Best of luck.
