I have a red signal light that keeps blinking in gp328 any ideas?

A blinking red light can be a sign of the radio picking up radio frequency waves (RF) on your same frequency or a nearby frequency. There may something transmitting in your area which is causing the blinking light, or you may have another radio which could be stuck in transmit. One way to check this is to take the radio to a different location and see if the blinking still occurs.

Next, the question would be, does the radio function otherwise correctly? If so, continue to use the radio and do not concern yourself with the light. If the radio does not function properly, they you should send it to a qualified radio repair center for service.

Best regards.

Radio lights are out

what lights, the dial back lights, is it stock>?
the radios have 3 power sources
1 for radio and amp.
2: dial lamps (dim,) if the other cars dim-able park lamps work then
the radio lamps are bad, or not connected (1 wire)
3: memory. power.

my guess is the rad back lamps are dead.
so turn on the parking lights (Head ligths 1st click)
does dashlight up.? no, turn the dimmmer up.
do they light now? yes, and radio no?
if no radio lamp now, the lamp is bad or wired wrong or the fuse blew
that the dial feed wires to.
if not stock, any thing is possible, (infinity)

2003 sunfire radio display does not work, but radio does.Help?

Light is burned out in radio. You can replace the front face of the radio from a good one with a good light and put on your radio and the radio will light up and work in your car. If you replace the whole radio you will need to have the radio unlocked.
Remove your radio. Locate a used radio at a wrecker. Put your car is accessory key postion and plug in the radio at the wreckers. if it lights up it is good. Remove the bottom panel on both radios and unplug the 2 wiring plugs that come from the front face. they are side by side. Unclip the front face and plug back into your radio. Replug it in and snap the bottom back on your radio. Plug back in and it will now light up your radio.
The whole procedure should not take more than 15 minutes and all you need is a 7mm socket and a flat screw driver.

If you are more daring you can also buy a cheap am/ fm only radio with a light and replace th circuit board of the back of that one to the circuit board on your radio and use your own front face again. It willl light up and all your items will function regardless of whether the doner board had cd or not. Time on this is 3o minutes and you need a small wrench to remove the screws in the board.

Good luck. I replace about 10 on these each week so the wreckers in my locations no longer have many low end radios avalialbe either. This is the lowest cost way on fixing this issue.

Radio lights off on 1998 ford explorer

1 -Check your head light switch and turn signal switch by taping them lightly - Common problem with fords to short signal light switch/head lights and they also have radio lights/clock lights control(lights dim for Radio/clock when you turn the lights on)

If you have checked all the fuses and switchs, possible that the light bulbs have burned out. Check with a local radio repair shop and they can remove the radio and install new bulbs.
