Question about Acer Aspire One PC Notebook
Battery dead, charger shows 6.2 volt output, when plugged in no power light, computer won't turn on.
Can you please tell me the following.
1. When plugged in the adaptor a orange light comes up on the laptop (Battery Charging)?
2. Have you tried removing the battery and powering the laptop with charger
3. Have you tried another charger?

Hello, I'll do my best to help you out.
The Acer One have one weird problem, and that is of the mother board. "Naaahh, how can that be?" you may ask. The BIOS in the motherboard have a bug, in which in a certain amount of time it will shut down the Netbook and it will give you the impression that it's dead. But it isn't. As you posted it here, the power supply is working fine. I'm not sure if it's still available, but there is a patch, which it will allow you to flash and fix the Netbook. Now, I'm not able to share the patch with you just because there is no detIl on your Netbook, for example, I own an Acer One ZG5. If yours happen to be the same exact model, let me know and I'll do everything I can to share the patch with you and how to flash it.

SOURCE: Have an Acer Aspire 5920-6470
Try remove the battery and unplug it from the AC. Hold down the power button for 35-45secs. plug AC back and see if you can power it back on. If not, the motherboard is shot.
