Question about Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SBT Top Load Washer
Yesterday the lid latch wouldn't recognize that it was closed during a whitest whites cycle. today it wont do anything, not even rinse and spin. it just comes on and hums. it is leaking water everywhere.
It could be the lid switch, i had similar problem, changed the switch, helped for a day, changed it again, same...So then i did a diagnostic test. it said that it was the main control board, changed it ($135), didn't help. I noticed that was a little bit of water on the floor under the shifter, changed that, worked for a while, then i noticed that it was wet again. I traced it to worn bearings that the tub spins on which wore the tub seal and made water leak on the shifter electrical connection, Changed the bearing which is the whole transmission and comes with new tub seals. It stopped the leak and has been working for more than a year.

SOURCE: Rinse cycle doesnt work
the humming noise is probably the cold valve operating but no water. check tap not turned off. slowly loosen cold water feed and check if water present

I am having the same problem with my Duet and would like to know if you will send me the link? firstname.lastname@example.org
I have found socks in the boot and I thought that solved the problem which was a tip by someone, but my wife says its still is leaking from time to time. Would like to see what this entails on the change and the cost of the seal. Thanks for help in advance.
