Question about Hitachi UltraVision CineForm 55VG825 55" HDTV
Any words that show up on the screen have a shadow effect. For example, when the ABC logo shows up at the corner of the screen when I'm watching the basketball finals, it looks like there is another, fainter, logo behind it.
The picture itself isn't terrible, just a little blurry. I'm thinking it might be a problem with the lamp(s)?

TV shows large red spot in middle of tv when dark show are on, you can see it more. Now blue spots on upper right side too. Spend way to much on this tv to have these kinds of problems only after 3 yrs.

This sounds like convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors. Shops usually $200-$400 Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks!
