Surely, after replacing the memory IC, it should be programmed to initial data values. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy. Surf the site with patience.

Universum tv memmory problem

The main system control memory IC is faulty. This IC, a small one with 8 solder terminals, can be located very near to the main system control IC.20225b3f-e9ca-4a23-a7fc-77c40ce426e4.jpgce7527c8-a621-47aa-8c42-95729ff3a8f3.jpg
Will look like somewhat like these. A very cheap IC to buy. Usually will start up with a number 24C**. Note this number. It is very important when replacing it. In some cases, there must have some adjustments should be done after replacement. If you wish to know more http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ check this link. It has some details about it. When we turn on the tv the volume is on maximum. When we first got it this was not a problem. I am guessing one of the children has pressed something but what???

Possible that the memory IC or the processor IC is not setting to the level that the data is set on .
The memory can fail to register if the memory IC is not responding, check the voltage to the IC.
Also if the memory seems OK the processor can be faulty as the register is not working to memorize.
Finally you can reset the programs using a auto scan and check to see if the audio come back to default settings.
