Try this! otherwise repair the display:
- Remove the battery from the watch and keep your watch in bare sun for at least 1 hr and then press the display at center for 3-4 times. This should work
Note: Must remove the battery first

My digits are dimming or fading making the watch hard to read. Battery reading is "high"

mcdevito75 Here, The battery could be loose makeing a weak connection or the LCD screen could be going bad, Have a small watch repair shop in your area check it out. If you can do so yourself be very carefull as too much pressure on the battery (PRESSING) could destroy the LCD face of the watch, also if the display (FACE) of your Casio ever goes black, even if display returns, the LCD is going bad.

I have a Casio 1470 pathfinder watch. I did not use it for several years The batteries ran down, have replaced them and now have no display or functions

mcdevito75 here, I would see the jeweler who installed the new batteries and ask to have the battery install double checked so they are makeing proper contact with the LCD movement. In the meantime you can try to hold down the MODE button for a few seconds and see if the display appears, also if the display screen has turned very dark, your Casio may have had it, as the LCD display could have gone bad. New batteries should bring up a display even after the watch has been stored. Hopefully the display is still a grayish color and the new batteries need re-alignment.

I need to change a battery in a baby g watch

mcdevito75 here, Casio watch with the LCD display, any wrong pressure on this display and your Casio is ruined, the liquid display can break very easily. BEST BET, look for a small watch repair shop in your area for this battery change.

After inserting the batteries I do not get any lcd reading.

mcdevito75 here, Double check your battery insertion 1 of them or both incorrectly installed. If you"ve used to much pressure in installing the batteries you could have damaged the LCD display happens with Casio LCD"s. If the LCD display has turned color it may be shot. It may also be you need the press any function button to activate the LCD as when you installed new batteries it simply shut down.

Polar F6 - Battery replaced, display corrupt after watch loads.

I had the same problem and attempted what banjodoug suggested above. It did not help. I had a faint display even before I re-inserted it into my watch frame. I surmised it wasn't the battery position.

I then took apart the damn thing and put it back together several times, each time rushing to push the setting/center button only to derive the same problem over and over.

I then took it apart one more time and pinched in all of the sides of the metal frame that holds it all together, thinking that I had a bad ground. After I did that, I reassembed it and waited. The display came on with the test display and then eventually went to the standard display on its own and all was good to go.

I suspect the issue was solved by correcting an improper ground and a proper initialization process - both solved by the steps I took above.

Hope it works for you!
