SOURCE: Whirlpool washing machine makes grinding noise

Hello Friend, Your solution is a real quick fix. The problem you are having is very common, your motor coupling has broken and that is what's making the grinding sound, also in this condition it will always pump out the water. Go to your local appliance parts store and purchase a new motor coupler, your cost should be under $25. It's very simple to remove old and install new coupler. First remove two screws from control panel and tilt control panel backwords exposing area under panel. You will see a metal clip on each side of cabinet under panel. Remove these clips, and unplug wires from plug in on cabinet. Remove cabinet by lifting up in back and tilting forward. Once removed you will see the innerworkings of your washer. Lay washer on it's back and remove the two spring clips that hold water pump in place and remove water pump. Leave water pump hooked up just move to side out of your way. Then you will remove the two screws that hold the motor clips in place and just snap the motor clips off. Be sure to unplug the wire harness plug from the motor. Just simply lift the motor straight up and off of the transmission. There you will see the motor coupler broken and to replace, just pry old one off transmission and motor with large flat head screwdriver. You will notice that one half of coupler is attached to the motor and the other to transmission. In the coupler kit you will receive both pieces and the rubber center connector. Just replace all the old with all the new and your problem will be solved. Happy to help, Tim.

Sw56app with DE message

On your Samsung washer, the "dE" error code typically occurs just after the rinse cycle. This will leave your machine filled with water as it does not drain because the washer thinks that the lid is open. Reset the cycle to properly drain the water then stop it before it fills up again.
Check to make sure nothing is preventing the lid switch from letting the cycle continue. Debris, such as lint or paper, could have fallen into the switch hole. Rust or an object could also block the hinges on the back of the lid. Clear anything off of the washer that may interfere with the lid switch then try to run the cycle again.

My daughter has a samsung sw56app washing machine and it fills with water and washes but wont pump out to rinse and spin

That means the drain pump is broken and needs to be replaced.

Perhaps you need to check if the drain hose is correctly installed, sometimes a bend is not letting water get out.

it sounds like a clogged filter
Please remove the filter on the side of the machine or the front.
Make sure you have towels handy.
Clear the filter out. If your pump cant empty the machine out you will get these problems
Make sure waterline is not obstructed

try these two things first:check the brushes on the motor you will have to remove it first they are held on with two screws on each, and also there is a drain filter behind the kick plate at the bottom of the machine if this is blocked it does sometimes cause the machine not to spin properly hope this helps

Hoover 2305 washine machine wont spin

Your problem could be caused the interlock but it could also be that the machine is failing to drain in the time alllowed and therefore the machine will not spin, before buying a lock check the sump hose and pump area for blockages.

Washin machine not spinning

Your repairman is correct. The problem is a rusted spin bearing just under the tub. It is only in use during the spin cycle. Parts are about 50-70 bucks but it's a very difficult job and out of the range of the average do-it-yourselfer. Try to use the machine almost every day to prevent the bearing from freezing up. That way you can get a few more months use out of it before replacing it. If it does freeze up, try to turn the basket manually. It won't move much when its stopped because of the brake. Your repairman probably turned it during the spin cycle by defeating the lid switch.
