The batteries voltage may be low. As a last resort get a cheep replacement battery. But if the new one does not work then it may be a problem with the ignition or the wiring.

Hello lumberjack623,
When the jensen starts acting this way, it is simply a power problem. The device is not receiving power from the main source. The battery is weak and need to be charged before the unit can turn on once again. The battery power is too low to turn the unit on.
Try to check the power source or the connection to the power source. It is not charging the players battery. You need to have the connection port replaced. Also the power connection needs be checked.
The battery is simply weak that is why it goes right off when it comes on.
Hope this was helpful to you. All the best Elect_Comp

I have a SanDisk Clip 2GB that is about 2 years old. When it is not plugged into a power source I cannot turn on the player. When it is plugged into the car adapter, it will turn on and play. While it is...

When your player is connected to the car stereo it is simply acting like any USB source.. your car stereo is not writing to it or exchanging information.

When the player is hooked to the laptop or any pc it is acting like an external read write drive.. data is being exchanged.. so the buttons are disabled on the device.

Chances are the rechargeable battery has failed. This unit does not allow for replacement of this battery. It can still function the way you are using it.. but not on it's own. When you attach it to either car stereo or laptop the unit is getting power via the USB connection.

You can try a reset to see if that helps.. Slide the power button up and hold it for 20 seconds.. release.. and try to power on again.

Update the firmware..

I hope your battery has not died..they last a long time.. but not forever.

Best of luck

Remove the batteries from the remote then see if the set returns to normal and you can use the buttons on the tv. If after the batteries are out and the set is still acting upreturns back to normal then the remote is bad, I have seen cases where something has been spilled on the remote and no one was told.

Laptop will not turn on when i press the on

Normally, if the LCDs light momentarily and go off, then the system is not getting power from the AC adapter (Even if the light is on on the brick)
  1. If another Dell D-Series AC adapter is available, try it. if not check the output for the plug to the system for 19 volts DC, if no voltage, replace the adapter.
  2. Check the connection on the system for cracks or loose connection to the motherboard. If the connector is damaged, then the jack or the motherboard will need replacement
  3. If the system will not power on with a known good battery or AC adapter, then try these steps.

Power button won't work

Hook up the ac adapter only and see if you just get power that way. If you do then you know the battery is faulty cause that would cause the power button to act like its shorted out.

If you hook up the ac adapter and the power button still isn't acting quite right then its either going to be a problem with the power control board or the motherboard.

Wont Start it dont act like it is getting power to starter and starter button

If the starter button does not result in the starter motor turning, you need to get the wiring diagram for your specific bike (maybe in the owner's manual?) and do some checking. Check out the starter circuit (wiring, connectors, safety switches/relays, etc.) to get familiar with where everything is located on the bike. Check that the battery is fully charged. Hook up a voltmeter to the negative post on the battery and the the positive probe to the starter motor terminal. Turn on the ignition and press the starter button. If the voltmeter indicates around 12-13 volts when the starter button is pressed, then the starter is in need of repair/replacement. If no voltage is indicated, you need to trace back through the circuits (starter solenoid, safety switches/relays, connections) until you do get 12-13 volts. The place where it stops is the trouble area.

Blackjack II will not start

This has happened to my Blackjack II and I've found if I plug it into the charger then plug the charger into the wall, the phone comes right on. It's a pain, however, if I'm not at home when it decides to do this since no amount of button pushing will turn it back on, it acts like the battery is dead (when I know it isn't!)

BTW, I've have to have my SIM card switched out twice and the battery replaced 4 times since I bought this phone brand new in February......
