Question about LG DLE2532W Electric Dryer
Please check your dryer venting, all of it, or at least as much as you can. I would start at the discharge outside. May be full of lint, covered by plants. or a bird may have built a nest inside. If air is not flowing through the dryer and to the outside clothes get hot but stay wet. Is the case of the dryer hot? Another indicator your vent needs to be cleared. This should be done before you run the dryer again, or you could cause thermal fuses and other little gizmos to break.

If your element is operating and drawing about 20 amps when on, your problem may be the thermostat (temperature dial) or the moisture sensor (if applicable). My dryer has 2 heating elements.

Dont see a model # or make but here some tips You really need a volt / ohm meter to check for Continuity & Volts Its well worth the investment... $15.00 bucks give or take a few I would check to see if you have 220v to back of dryer where the cord mounts to dryer, If dryer is getting only 1 leg 110 volts instead of the 220 will it not heat. Check themostates & heater for Continuity... Most models, Now have a.. Hi-limit fuse that need to be checked for Continuity and replaced if bad if you dont have a ohm meter you can hook the wires together
with a small piece of wire and by pass the themostates and hi limit fuse to see if thats the problem or not

Heating element Your dryer's heating element may be partially burned out. If it is, your dryer still heats, but at such a low temperature that it takes three or four times as long to dry the clothes. If the element is partially burned out, replace it.

Check the following areas thoroughly to address this issue.
Make sure the dryer vent hose, as well as the rest of the vent duct, is not clogged.
Unless regular maintenance is performed, chances are there is a lot of lint accumulated inside the dryer. This might affect the drying time and could be a fire hazard. Make sure to have your dryer cleaned regularly. Because this might involve taking most of the dryer apart, it is recommended to have a qualified appliance repairman perform this task.
There are a couple of cycling thermostats inside the dryer. If one of them breaks down, it might affect the dryer's performance. Replace the defective thermostat.
3. Heating element
A heating element might only be partially burned out, in which case it would still work but will take longer time to dry the clothes. Replace the element if found defective.
4. Moisture Sensor
Most units will have a moisture or dryness sensor as well that will fail. inspect the sensor for faults. replace if necessary.
