Question about Sony VAIO Computers & Internet
Hi. My laptop his getting very hot. Its a PCG 5KFP model. Previously, the only way it worked was with the bottom (back, cooling units) panel removed and raised up for air circulation. I have had the cooling units checked and now it does work normally when plugged in. The problem is the battery runs out within 2 hours, even on power saver mode, and the battery and cooling units get very hot! Is the first step into finding a solution replacing the battery?
You should service your fans and you need to replace the thermal compound on your cpu. but remember that some laptops with Qcore chips gets were hot and the only thing you can do is to get extra fans. like thy said a cooling pad that you can put your laptop on will make a big difference.

Do you have a cooling pad for your laptop? because many laptops require it. Try using a cooling pad
