Question about Motorola Mobility HS850 Consumer Headset

1 Answer

Completely dead - Worked great for approx one week, now will not power up at all.

Initially syncd and worked just fine 4 about a week. kept it plugged in to charger and didn't use for it for quite a while (month or two) - when I tried to start using it again, it would not power up, light up, nothing.  Maybe I killed it by leaving it plugged in too long??  Should I take it out back and shoot it, or is there a chance it may resurrect itself?
Thanks to any and all!

Re: Completely dead - Worked great for approx one week,...

Yes they really do not like being on the charger permenantly because it burns the cells out in the battery which is what I would say has happened here.
Maybe if you leave it sit for a week then plug the charger back in and see if it powers up you might be lucky

On your base there are the numbers 1-4. Put the # 1 in the 3 O'Clock position like a clock. Try putting the letters that are in the bottom on B.

Same here. Appears to charge but won't turn on.

Most likely, the battery is dead, not holding charge. Have not beeb able to find info for a replacement battery.

Solid Purple Light on Plantronics 220

Explorer 230 went into solid blue light the second time I used it. Fixed mine by letting the headset go completely dead and re-charged and it appears to work fine now.

No Power

Radio interference from a nearby bluetooth-capable device that's paired is the culprit. Pair your bluetooth and your phone in the basement of your home, if your home does not have metallic walls and doors..

H700 charges fine, dies in an instant

Open it and see if it has a battery. Take the battery to RadioShack and have them get you the correct battery. Use contact cement glue to put it back together.

Plantronics Bluetooth Headset P590

This is a "known issue" that I have raised to Plantronics. Whether they do anything about it, remains to be seen. The workaround I have discovered seems to work with both of my P590 headphones that stopped charging:

1. Plug in the USB charging cable to a laptop or computer that is powered on.
2. Connect the USB charging cable to the headphones
3. Connect the 3.5mm headphone cord cable to the headphone output on the laptop of computer (this is the long cable with the normal 3.5mm stereo plug at each end)
4. Plug the other end of the 3.5mm cable into the P590 input.

The headphones should start charging.

Motorola H350 will not charge

There is two way you can do 1) ensure that the charger have output ( use volt meter to check or use handphone to confirm ).2) ensure the bluetooth charge contact is clear for charging ( or use contact cleaner to clear ).if you have done this two and still no charge then the battery in the bluetooth may be dead. hope it help.
