Rf gain is about local coms if you want your cb to RX far away stuff set it too high but local stuff like friends family that are local then you want too set rf gain to low then only local signal can trigger the squelch ... so the radio will ignore the static and only trigger you when needed ? see what i mean rf gain ye a DX guy will set it high or too listen to people like over 50K away
and let then break the squelch...min

Have to use rf gain control to control volume. no control or very little with af gain control. ft101ee

RF gain is not used to control volume. It's used to adjust the sensitivity of the radio. If you have a station nearby that's very strong that you wish to listen to, turning down the RF gain will help reduce distortion and/or interference. The control for Volume is "AF Gain" (Audio Frequency Gain). You want to use it to set the volume level.

Hi i have a sega megadrive 2 and have only just got it out, but now have a Bush digital TV and the Sega is on (power) but I can't either locate the channel or am confused on how it connects up to the Tv to...

I think those have the old style RF connectors.A coaxial cable with a grey or black box in the connection cable.Plug the coaxial cable from outside into the RF cable.Plug the RF cable into the TV coaxial input(regular cable input). On the back of the Sega, there should be a switch for CH3 or CH 4.Put the TV on the appropriate channel. If the signal looks bad, switch the selector on the Sega and change the TV channel. If you do not have the RF cable there is a place that still sells Sega accessories, but not Sega. They must have contracted with Sega.If you need the site let me know.
Good luck!

Hi any one know any cb repairs near norwich thanks

Dunno about any shops near where you live. There are a few good places online you can send the radio too.

Does this radio have an RF GAIN? if it does this should be all the way up. Also, bring down the squelch.

The RF GAIN on a cb radio is how sensitive your receive is. the more up it is, the further you can hear.

the squelch is used to cut off noise. The higher the squelch is, the strong a signal needs to be to hear it, so you will only hear people close.

One day my RV Coleman ac just quit running on low cool but every other setting works fine. Any ideas?

Is your Air Conditioner run with a wall mounted thermostat or the ceiling pack controls? If it is the ceiling pack controls, then your selector switch has gone bad and needs to be replaced. This is located in the ceiling pack itself and is relatively easy to do. You can easily test it with an Ohmmeter, going through these steps:

To check the selector switch, remove wires from the terminals
and rotate the switch to the proper position and read
continuity as follows:
Terminals Switch Position
L-1-3 Lo Heat
L-1 Lo Fan
L-2 Hi Fan
L-1-4 Lo Cool
L-2-4 Hi Cool
* If you do not wish to remove the wires from each terminal,
disconnect the 9 pin plug from the a/c unit.

Hope this helps,

Jeff

Shifting into 4 wheel drive

For 4W Hi either be stopped or moving at a slow rate of speed (<20 MPH) and move your 4WD selector to the 4 Wheel Hi position.

For 4W Lo stop and move the selector from 2W Hi to 4W Hi then push down on the selector and move through N into 4W Lo.
