5700 stapler handle will not go down when pressed no staples in gun i removed the bolt and nut then the slide handle still doesn't move

If the handle of your 5700 stapler does not go down when pressed, even after removing the bolt and nut and the slide handle, it suggests there may be an issue with the internal mechanism. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
Check for jammed staples: Even if there are no staples visible in the stapler, it's possible that a staple may be jammed inside the stapling mechanism. Try using a pair of tweezers or small pliers to carefully inspect and remove any debris or jammed staples that may be obstructing the movement of the handle.
Lubricate the stapler mechanism: Apply a small amount of lubricating oil or silicone spray to the moving parts of the stapler mechanism. This can help loosen any stuck components and improve the smoothness of the handle's movement. Be sure to use a lubricant suitable for mechanical devices.
Clean the stapler: If the stapler has been used in dusty or dirty conditions, debris may have accumulated inside, affecting its operation. Use compressed air or a soft brush to remove any dirt or debris that may be hindering the movement of the handle.
Inspect for broken or worn parts: Carefully examine the internal components of the stapler, such as springs, levers, and pins, for any signs of damage, breakage, or excessive wear. If you notice any broken or worn parts, it may be necessary to replace them to restore the stapler's functionality.

How do you fix staple jam?

To fix a staple jam in a stapler, you should first remove the jammed staples and check for any obstruction in the stapler that could be causing the jam. If the obstruction is still present, you will need to disassemble the stapler to remove it. Once the obstruction has been removed, you should check the stapler to make sure that all parts are in good condition and properly aligned. If necessary, you should replace any worn or broken parts. Additionally, you should ensure that you are using the correct staples for the stapler, as using the wrong staples can cause jams.

Bostitch electric stapler wont open

Ungplug the stapler. In the area that you insert the paper, although its narrow, above where the paper is inserted you will see a metal straight/flat bar. Use a tool such as a letter opener and push the bar upwards. You should not have to push too hard. When you hear a click, you should be able to open the stapler. Remove the jammed staples. Plug in stapler and it should be work. (note: This is the how I fixed the Bostitch impulse stapler, but I was following instructions to fix another type of electric stapler and this worked)

The stapler is fixing two staples instead of one at a time.what can be the defect and how to correct it?

First check and make sure the proper staples are in the gun. Also check and make sure the stapler is clear and no jammed or broken staples are in the gun. If this is a desk stapler make sure the plate is locked in for the staple to hit and bend the ends out or in. if all this is working the driver or the piece of metal that pushes the staple out may be bent. If the stapler is new take it back if it is not a minor problem and get a new one.

Stapler!!!!

The most expensive stapler ACE sells is $35-ish. If something is broken or if you can't get it back together, you may need to replace it.
