Question about Televison & Video
The DVD player will not accept a disc. It continually pushes it back out instead of sucking it in. TV works fine. How do I fix this?
CD loading mechanism fault. Might be a belt problem, or a gear wheel problem at its loading mechanism. In most cases, the loading mechanism might have to be replaced with a new one, except for a belt problem. The loading mechanism won't cost more. You have to open the TV, to take out this mechanism out of it for repair.
Please contact any service technician in this case.

Are you trying to play DVD's you've made or copied yourself or new one's you buy from an actual distributor? Because sometimes self-ripped Cd's & DVD's won't play on a LOT of DVD players. Otherwise it's bad DVD player and you should go get it swapped out if it's not too late.

Turns out my suspicions wre correct about the DVD player being "sluggish" from lack of use. By continuing to exercise the drive motor by hitting play and eject while simutaneously attempting to insert a disc finally paid off. Now it readily accepts the disc and everything is functioning as designed. Trust me, I'm not going to let it sit idle for anymore extended periods...................baltogas

Hi, I also live in Highton and having had perfect reception on all channels, also recentlydeveloped trouble picking up HSV7.
I decided to rescan the channels. 7 was still not right so I scanned again and it was fine. This may not be the technical answer you were looking for.
My dissappointment is the tv died last night. No power at all.....fingers crossed it won't cost more than the tv cost to repair.

According to your complaint post, the fult is due to its DVD mechanism itself. It will be best to replace the DVD tray mechanism [ plastic made one]. You can bought it from most of the electronic spare part shops at your town. But the model fitted with Westinghouse will be very difficult to get. Anyway try to get it. The fault is with loading tray mechanism itself. OK.
