It sounds like the t-stat is programmed for a heat pump or you have a heat pump and the t-stat is programmed for a regular furnace....
Check out the manuals in the tip and go into the installer setup to change the t-stat to the proper programming for your system..

The green wire is used to turn on the blower if you want constant air circulation. For heat only, the red and yellow wire will work as long as they are connected to R and W terminals on heating unit (or TH and TW on some models).

How can you fix error on screen can it be reset

It often just needs recalibrating. Try turning the scale on while holding the mode/tare button with nothing on the scale. Then press the tare button again. It should show a calibration weight which you should put onto the scale. Then it automatically calibrates.

Make sure the batteries are in correct and also make sure it is perfectly level. If those are not the problems then you have a faulty unit.

Operating instructions for Volt -100 pocket scale

If you don't have the measured weights that sometimes come with scales or can be purchased individually, I'd recommend using a United States nickel/5 cent coin. They are supposedly an exact 5 g's each, and a Volt-100 scale requires 100 g's for recalibration. Therefore, you can recalibrate your scale using 20 nickels. I also use a Volt-100 and so far this has worked for me exactly; the most it's ever been off is .02 g, which is basically nothing.
What you do is remove your batteries, (I'd replace them with brand new ones if you have the option) then place the scale on a completely smooth, perfectly level, flat surface. Power the scale on, make sure it is reading 0.00, hold the M (mode) button until CAL comes on the screen, release the button for a quick second, then press it again one more time (quickly, don't hold this time), and then wait until "100.00 g" is flashing on the screen. Then you're going to place your 20 nickels on the scale as smoothly and with as little jostling or movement as possible. After a moment, the screen should read out "PASS". You then power the scale off (don't weigh anything before turning it off as it can possibly adjust the calibration you just set or weigh out heavily or light) and to test out your newly calibrated scale, turn it back on and weigh one nickel. It should be exactly 5 g's, with no more than a .02 digression in either direction if done properly. Good luck!

How u go about increasing thermostat when recalibrating

Hi there!
Using a precision screw driver, turn the thermostat calibration screw counter clockwise to increase the temperature cut-in of the thermostat, it is about 5 degrees celcius per 1/8 turn of the calibration screw.

If you go to your local home depot, and get a new thermostat, it will come with different diagrams for wiring in the instructions that are pretty easy to understand. I hope this helps.

Changing out old thermostat

your old thermostat is a milivolt and the wire runs from the heater to the thermostat. You have to open the back of the new one and connect the wire as per the instructions on the wireing diagram that came with the new one. I just installed a similar one myself, you will be very happy with it.

Honeywell T87F Thermostat

this calibration is called the heat anticipator, this is set by the amp draw pulled through the t-stat,if you look very close at the scale you will see the word longer with an arrow ,if you push the lever in the direction of the arrow the heat will run longer .This is a very old style t-stat and is most likely out of calibration on the temp reading for the room, think of this portion of the t-stat as a stand alone thermometer,it may read 70 when the room is 74
