F1 on oven diplay

What brand of oven do you have? On GE and some Kenmore models, the F1 error is a problem with the touchpad or the ERC (electronic range control or clock). On some models, the two parts are sold as an assembly. On some Maytag ovens, it can be a problem with the oven temperature sensor.

If it is a keypad error, the test for which part has failed is straightforward, if they are sold as separate units. Unplug the oven and move it out to reach the back of the control panel. Unplug the ribbon connector for the touch pad from the clock. It's a flat wide (~1 1/2") wire. Make sure that the wire will not touch anything and cause a short. Plug the power cord for the range back in. If the F1 error recurs promptly, replace the ERC. If after 30+ minutes, the F1 error has not returned, replace the touchpad. If the touchpad and the ERC are sold as an assembly, you'll need to replace the entire unit.

For the oven temperature error, you'll need to check the continuity and resistance of the wiring across and around the sensor and back to the ERC. Check the wiring harness as well for any corrosion. Replace the sensor or the wiring depending on what you find.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the make and model of your oven for additional support and replacement part suggestions.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

First, unplug it for 30 minutes and if the problem returns then it means that the door lock assembly is bad & needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

I have about a 14 year old Whirpool Double Oven model RBD275PDB1. The other day it was working and then in the middle of cooking something it just went off-nothing working. I checked the fuse and it was...

If there is no power at all then I would check where the house power comes into the oven.Be sure to turn off the power before looking in the conection box.Hopefully you will not have to pull out the oven to find the box.

F3 diplay after changing temperature sensor I had

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

you may have a defective sensor card, plus i would recheck the wire nuts... check for around 1000 to 11000 ohms resistance.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Rate/Vote on my response, thanks and good luck

Model RBD245PDB14 Error code F2 E6(left side) replaced original key pad with new. One week after install same error code and display blank out. Unpluged and reattached key pad cable but still diplays F2 E6...

If you replace the keypad and continue to have the same error you also have to replace the electronic control.

You can contact fixyourboard. com for a price to repair your control at a reduced price over a new control. It also comes back with a better warranty than anew control.

Not functioning

clock can be bypassed. you will have to get at the clock connections though.
you will see a recangular box on the clock pcb which is in fact a relay. next to it are two connections with fairly heavy wiregoing to them. join these together and the clock is then bypassed. you can get female to 2-male connectors which are very convenient for doing this. i must have bypassed hundreds of clocks over time
