You need a tech to replace your potentiometer. They can sometimes be cleaned but many are built in a away that makes that impossible.

Sound craft lecternette portable lectern L46 volume not reliable

Probably the volume control is flakey, There will probably be a slot in the control body, spray some contact cleaner or WD 40 into the slot and work the volume back and forth. If there are any other controls do them also. That should take care of the problem. Getting to the control is your problem I am not familiar with that model.

Just bought a ps-6 today, tried it through my overall set up the pitch shifter, detuner & super bend are fine, as soon as i use the harmony setting it takes a sweet medium gain lead sound and adds the...

By ading in the harmony signals you are combining 3 signals so gain is probably going to be high you will have to reduce it before it goes to the amp or turn down the input gain of the amp.

NEVER use a pedal in the external effects loop of an amp as the levels are wrong.

I just purchased A behringer PMP4000. It has built in effects. When I follow the steps to add fx , as soon as I start turning up the fx send, It sounds like sweeping wind through the mains. How do I use...

Check the FX to main level to make sure it is not too high. Also check the main FX fader level. Try turning each of these down and see if that corrects the issue. The FX fader should control the volume level of the FX globally (mon sends as well as main outs), and the FX to main should only affect the mains output. Make sure FX to mon1 and FX to mon2 are turned all the way down.
Also check what FX program your using and that the FX IN button is depressed, try starting w/ #10 (small room) and see how that sounds.

I have 2 peavey sp 5 and a pwavey 2600 amp . i wanna know can i hook a peavey 118 passive sub to one of the sp5 and how would it sound?

You would send high as well as low to the sub and unless the sub had a built in crossover it COULD get muddy sounding. The specs SEEM to indicate the 118 DOES have a low frequency crossover so it SHOULD be OK... How would it sound? An 18 inch sub normally adds to the sound of a system... You MAY need to PAN over to send more power to the one side with the extra load on one side. Often people use two sub's... one for each side so it is balanced.

I have a jackson dinky DK2. what is happening is that on certain frets, like the 13th, 14th, 15th fret on the 2nd string (B string),when playing with slight drive or distortion, the note does not sound...

The frets MAY be worn or the neck truss rod MAY need adjustment, Neither of these is DIY unless yiu have experience in repoairing guitars. Since this is only on the 2nd string, inspect the frets for wear and the only DIY thing to try is to replace that string... DO that first !!!

Fender 1956 tremolux amp.sounds muddy

All you need to do is to check all the connecting cable if they are okay , also adjust the the equalizer properly to give a better and audible sound, that is the one that was connected to the amplifier also check on the microphone been used if it fault also do not forget the loudspeaker , if all these are intact, then you have to check on the the amplifier itself , you have to open the cover of the amplifier to this and this require a basic knowledge on electronics . if you can handle the amplifier then you have to call in a skilled personnel to handle it.
Hope this help in solving the problem, Take care......

Have amp only 2 months & clean channel is muddy. it was clean when i bought it. its somewhere in between clean & drive

Test if the sound is clean using the headphone jack.

IF IT IS CLEAN in the phones, you have probablydamaged the speakers with excessive volume causing the voice coils to rub the pole pieces due to heating. If you can reach the cone either front or back GENTLY push on the cone and listen for ANY rubbing noise.

There are also electronic component problems that can cause this IF the headphone test is also muddy sound.

How to fix 13 pin cable for GK-2A....

You must be making an error in splicing the cable.
Possible problems:

1. There is an overall shield that you have cut and not restored.

2. You tried to add cable length and did not use the same exact cable. For some stuff, the cable is MORE than just connecting wires... we may have twisted pair that MUST be used for certain lines in the cable. Or a tiny coaxial cable with a shield.

3, Failure to connect the correct wires.

4. Poor soldering and insulating resulting in broken connections or shorted connections.

5. Exceeding the length that the circuitry is capable of driving.
