Tv with no pic no sound on and off work

I have an hitachi 51f59a projection it was working fine then heard a loud pop now i have no pic no sound however on and off work

Hello mackenzie212, The loud pop you heard was most likely a capacitor exploding. I beleve the capacitor is also located in the power supply section of your TV. If you take the back off of the set you will see what can be described as a exploded, or bloated can. This component can be replaced, but I advise you to have it done by a qualified TV technician. This is due to the fact that their may be other unknown factors as to why the capacitor exploded, and a qualified TV technician can determine these causes past the obvious changing of the defective component.
