Hi there! My name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media Department with DISH. It is a pleasure to help you. If your remote is currently not connecting to the DISH receiver please make sure that your remote is on the correct mode, which is: Satellite Mode. How do you know if the remote is on SAT mode? You can find out by pressing any button on the remote and pay attention to the four mode buttons located at the top pf the remote and check to see if the SAT clear button is the one that lights up. If your remote is on SAT mode but is still not changing channels it will most likely need to be readdressed to the receiver. Follow this link for detailed information on how to address your remote to the receiver If you have additional questions please feel free to reach me at:

Hi Robert, my name is Cheri Torres and I work on the Social Media Team at DISH. It sounds like your remote is experiencing IR(Infrared) interference from your LG TV. You can resolve this issue by converting your TV1 remote to UHF(Ultra High Frequency) instead of IR. In order to do this you will need a UHF remote, the 20.0 remote is only an IR remote. Please email me directly at with your account number or phone number on the account so that I can look into getting a UHF remote sent out. Thank you.

Tv1 ir remote stopped communicating with 625 receiver, tv2 works fine...

Baba Ra,

We can definitely check this out! I hope it has been resolved by now. If it hasn't, please check the batteries and make sure they're good. If they are, try re-programming the remote. I have included the steps below for that!

Addressing Remote to Receiver:

1.) Go to System Info screen.
2.) Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
3.) Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
4.) Press the pound (#) button.
5.) Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
6.) Test remote and see if it works.

If the problem continues, make sure there are no sources of interference like lights or heat near the receiver. If it continues after, then we will need to send a replacement remote. You can reach me here or at for further assistance!

Echostar technologies 20.0 ir 155681 it won't stop changing Chandler on it's own running batters down

Normally when your channels change on its own, you may have a neighbor who also has DISH Network with both remotes (yours and theirs) having the same remote addresses. We would readdress the remote to the receiver giving your remote a new address. Since the remote is also draining batteries, this indicates the remote is not functioning correctly. Please call 1-800-333-3474, talk with Technical Support; we need to replace your remote. I hope this helps.

The up button on my dish remote is not working. I have to push real hard to get it to move upwards on the channels.

Assuming you have fresh batteries and nothing is blocking the remote from communicating with the IR eyes on the receiver than you need a new remote most likely.

Thanks for using Fix

I chose the wrong channel on remote it took me to a Dish site whcih I chose to exit - when I did that my picture totally disappeared - could not get it back. It is fine on my other tvs - so I need to get...

Are you getting a snowy/blue/black screen on your TV? To get your picture back, you need to get the TV back to the correct channel or input. If the receiver is in the same room as this TV, the TV should be on channel 3/4 (normally 3) or an input setting depending on the TV. TV 2 (away from receiver) would be on channel 60/73. If you have the TV remote, put the TV on one of those channels. If you get a picture when the TV is placed on the correct channel, press and release the SAT button. This puts the remote back in SAT mode and will now operate the receiver.

If you don't have a picture, unplug the receiver for 10 seconds from the electrical outlet and plug back in. This will cause the receiver to reboot and re-acquire Satellite signal. i hope this helps.

Hiaschulte274 my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network, there are some things youcan do it get back to your programming. The first thing you will need to do isunplug the receiver for 10 seconds and after plugging it back in it will powerup and once you see the green light on the receiver you will want to go tochannel 3. If you still see no programming go through the different inputs onthe TV. I will send a link to help show how to resolve this issue as well.

Hello. My name is Jerry I have a dish net work I want to set up my dvd recorder with this remok control I have the 510, Part # 118579, 132578 remock control

You will need a 6.4kit or 6.3kit and remote to communicate with the 510 receiver. The remote you have is a 6.0 and may work with the kit but I have never tried that application before and Dish does not recommend that remote as a replacement for the original. An 8.0 remote would work also. Thanks for using Fix Ya and let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Our dish network remote is having trouble programing to operate my memorex tv, I tried all the codes in the dish operating guide buy none work, in fact when I called the dish network we tried to program it...

Due to the various remote types used by Dish for their different receiver types they may or may not have another receiver w/ a remote that would be compatible with your system. It also is a possibility that there is another remote that will operate your receiver and TV as well. you can check on to find compatibility or you can provide me with the make and model of your tv and i will research it for you and let you know my results.

What you have right now is a half code situation with the remote. Their is no solution to this than the above or buying a universal remote capable of communicating with your receiver.

Hope this assists you and let me know if I can be of anymore help in the future.
