My gateway will not turn on or boot up to turn on. I tried removing the battery and power cord while holding down the power bottom with the power cord plug in and I did this several time and this...

It's possible that the power supply is broken, which moves power from the battery/power cord to the rest of the computer. This requires soldering to repair. However, there are a number of things which could be wrong with the computer, almost all of which will require a technician to repair.

Do I need only one cord (usb) to connect to my laptop?

The "physically-smaller" external hard-drives draw power through the USB cable.
The "physically-larger" external hard-drives require an external power-supply (just like a laptop requires an external power-supply).

Check the casing for a plug where the electrical power would come in; if none, then the unit will draw electrical power through the USB cable.

Missing power cord and wanting requirements for Norelco 4845xl

For many older Norelco shavers, such as this model, the power cord simply connects 110 VAC to the shaver. The principle voltage reduction and current limit circuitry for the motor and battery charging are within the shaver. That is why the cord is just a cord, available for under $5 online (<$10 with shipping), without a housing for a transformer or electronics within the cord.

The amperage will likely be very low, e.g. <0.1A, but I do not have access to this model for checking actual requirements.

Hi,

This is due to a faulty cord or a damaged power inlet on the motherboard. Hope for your part it is the cord. Try a new power cord and if it doesn't work I'm afraid you might have to replace your motherboard...

Phone is dead! M7310

There is no power cord required for an M7310 set. The set gets all the power from the Nortel telephone system. Try plugging in your phone where another phone is active to ensure that your phone that you want to install is working. The phone flashes, then stops, then flashes, then stops... you just have to be patient when testing. Possible Troubles: -> It maybe the line cord, the cord that plugs in from the wall to the phone that can be damaged. -> the jack might be dead (wiring in the jack is pulled off) or inactive (there is no jumper from the office to the telephone system). -> the phone port from the telephone system might be dead.

The right power cord for a scanner

The link you offered is for a standard IEC computer power cord. (click the camera next to the item #) Problem is, if you look at the scanner, there is nowhere for that type of cord to connect. I believe the scanner requires a power adaptor, Look next to the power jack to see what voltage is required, it may be 24 volts or 30 volts for example.
