Question about Bosch Nexxt WTMC3521UC Gas Dryer

1 Answer

Kenmore 110.74832400 dryer runs but no heat is coming. I removed the back panel from the dryer and I can see the glow from the ignitor but there is no flame. When the dryer is first started the flame is present but shuts off and never comes back. Again I can see the glow from the ignitor several times during the drying cycle, but it seems like the gas does not make it to the chamber.

The dryer spins but the burner does not always ignite.

Hi the most likely cause for this is a weak or failing ignitor. Remove the bottom front panel and observe with dryer running. If ignitor does not glow test it for 120vac if you have 120vac replace ignitor. If it glows but does not ignite the you ignitor is weak replace it.

No heat, vent clear if i remove toe panel can i see ignitor how do i remove toe panel?

check thermal fuse in back near exhaust. or on top of burner tube. if your dryer has a toe panel there are 2 clips on either side at the top that you can release with a putty knife. if no panel you have to take off the whole front. If ignitor glows and no ignition replace the valve coils.

Dryer doesnt blow hot air.

I find that quite often the ignitor is out of alignment or the glass window is covered with lint.
a gas dryer blows air through a burner assembly to heat the air. The burner assembly consists essentially of a gas valve, ignitor and a flame sensor. If any part of the burner assembly malfunctions, the result will be low or no heat and slow drying of the clothes.
There are two common styles of ignitors, glow ignitors and spark ignitors. The ignitor ignites the gas either by heating up and glowing, or by sparking. If the ignitor fails, the dryer will not heat.

The easiest way to check the ignitor is to observe it. Remove the small access panel in front, select a high temperature setting and start the dryer. Watch the burner assembly, shortly after starting the dryer the ignitor should begin to glow or spark. If you see it glow or spark, then the ignitor is working.

Dryer won't heat up

HI, Can you see the ignitor glow at all? If not, check the thermofuse first. It is located on the blower housing white, /4" wide, & 3" long. If you can remove the rear panel on your model, that is where the fuse is located. If you can not remove the back panel, some models you have to remove the whole front panel and some the lower half front panel comes off.
If the ignitor does glow, you will need to replace the coils on top of the gas valve.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Kenmore elite gas dry 6 years old - no heat

PUT YOUR DRYER ON AIR FLUFF AND TURN IT ON. THEN SELECT A HEAT SETTING. IF YOU HEAR A DISTINCTIVE CLICK WHEN YOU SELECT HEAT, THEN CHECK FOR A GLOWING IGNITOR. MOST KENMORE/WHIRLPOOL DRYERS HAVE A PEEP HOLE IN THE FRONT LEFT SIDE OF THE DRYER. REMOVE A PLASTIC COVER TO VIEW INSIDE.
IF THE IGNITOR GLOWS, AND THEN CLICKS OFF, YOU HAVE A BAD SOLENOID (COIL SETTING ON TOP OF THE VALVE). IF IT NEVER CLICKS OFF, YOU HAVE A BAD RADIANT SENSOR( LOCATED ON THE SIDE OF THE BURNER HOUSING). IF NO IGNITOR GLOWING, THE IGNITOR IS BAD.

IF WHEN YOU SELECT HEAT, THERE ISN'T ANY CLICK, THEN THE THERMAL FUSE LOCATED BEHIND THE BACK PANEL DOWN NEAR THE EXHAUST IS BAD. IT IS A SMALL WHITE ITEM WITH TWO THIN WIRES ATTACHED TO IT.

No heat

If your dryer has an access panel at the bottom front remove it.  Start the dryer in a cycle and watch the burner area. You should see the ignitor start to glow. After a few seconds of it glowing you should hear a click and the gas come on and ignite. If the ignitor does not glow, look on the top of the air duct to the left of the gas valve. You will see 2 temp sensors. One will be white with  2 small blue wires going to it.    UNPLUG THE DRYER NOW    Remove the wires and connect them together.   BE SURE THEY DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE

Plug dryer back in and start dryer again and see if ignitor glows and burner lights. If it works now, you need a new thermal fuse. You also want to make sure the vent duct is not clogged with lint or the hose is not kinked.  I DO NOT recommend that you run the dryer with this bypassed. It is a safety mechanism.

If this is not the problem or your dryer is not front servicable, post back and i will try to walk you through the problem.
