Question about Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System Flight Simulator

1 Answer

Saitek Throttle Quadrant wont go idle and full power

The throttle's first two axes (X and Y) seem to work between like 15%-85% range on FS2004. When I go to the calibration, everything seems OK, I get both 0 and 100 numbers, like I should.

thanks in advance.

I had a similiar problem and after spending hours researching and looking at forums I figured out the a solution. Plug in the quadrant directly into your computer and then configure it. At that time make your necessary tweaks, i.e. null zones and sensitivity adjustments. After you get it to work properly there, then you should plug it into your yoke and everything should work fine.

Best regards,
Gary

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Hi Alf,
This sounds like a deadzone setting not allowing the throttle axis to go full.
There are 2 places in which the deadzones can be set:
In FSX: Settings> Controls> Calibration, there select your Yoke and then set the NULL to the left, which is 0.
Or in windows in Input Devices (Win Xp - is in Control Panel, Vista or Win7 go to Games Explorer>Tools>Input Devices).
In Input Devices->Select the Yoke and click Properties, then go to the Deadzones Tab and set the deadzones for the Throttle. Mixture and Prop to 0.
Hope it helps...

Worn out to fast at the top end of the throttle, can it be repaired, have already changed 2 over, replacement part or repair , many thanks js SAITEK THROTTLE QUANTRANT

Hi,
Unfortunately Saitek does not have a repair service therefore no spare parts are available at all.
If your Throttle Quadrant was bought less then 2 years ago you should be able to get a replacement for it from your retailer or from Saitek.
Hope it helps...

Speed doesn't work

The markings on the TQ are not to be used literally. I suggest you use it to get the speed you want on your gauge and ignore markings on the TQ iteslf. Try re-calibrating in your sim program so it knows what the full range of the throttle is.

This time all it took was updating Pete Dowsons FSUIP.
I have discovered that I need to be online to save the FSUIP Certificates in a "Storage area".
I have no idea what that's all about but it worked.
Maybe these Certificates are like Emission Trading Schemes... they keep someone in a job.

Saitek yoke's accuracy prroblem.

Try uninstall and reinstall software,
if that doesn't solve then try on different pc
still not working repair/replace unit.
Try Microsoft unit with force feedback or you can buy without FFB for less than £10
