it seems that your windows did not installed properly. some files may be missing. so you should repair your window from the windows cd and then check out your volume control option. If still it would not work then check out the audio drivers.

I have a Kenwood KDC 135 car stereo wont un mute.

behind the face plate there is a little recessed reset button. push it using the tip of a pen or similar. that will fully reset the radio to like it was when you bought it.

Some times head units hicup. this is how you reset it. In most error cases this solves the problem.

JVC AX-66 Integrated Amplifier seems to be muted?

You need to have a jumper between the 4 standalone jacks on the right side of the column of stereo connectors. A stereo RCA cable would work for this.

No Sound when I play a DVD, but I do have sound when I play a Music CD

Open your sound controls to make sure nothing is muted or set on low volume.
If that's not the case, open your audio drivers program and check to see if nothing is muted.

My laptop is always on mute mode

Try the following

START \ SETTINGS \ CONTROL PANEL \ SOUNDS AND AUDIO DEVICES

Then make sure the Mute box is unchecked. If that doesn't work,
click
AUDIO \ SOUND PLAYBACK VOLUME
and make sure that all the mute boxes are unchecked.

Help with CD rom the music cd is playing without sound on the media player.

Try to uninstall the Audio driver in your system and restart the system.after restarting install the correct driver for your audio. if this not work maybe there some loss cable connection to your speaker. try to check the system speaker maybe set to "mute". you can double click the volume speaker at the "taskbar" . not see in the taskbar you can go to control panel and click "sounds, speech and audio devices" then click "sounds and audio devices" uncheck the mute box opposite and apply.
