If you can, boot with a boot disk and try to repair the disk.

What I would do is get an appointment with an apple genius at an apple store near you. You can download the Apple Store app to set an appointment or visit http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/ I have had great success with iPhone issues in the past with them.

Most likely your Hard drive has gone bad. Hard Drives typically last anywhere from 3-5 years. The grey screen with the apple signifies that it found a Hard drive with your OS (Software) installed but it can't seem to go past that because the Hard Drive may be failing.

Please help me

Nothing can be more frustrating than turning on your Mac only to find that it won't start up. Instead of seeing the Finder, you see a blue or gray screen, an icon of a broken folder, a kernel panic, a flashing question mark, or a computer that just sits there. What can you do? Don't worry. It could be a simple issue that you can fix yourself. Follow the steps in this document to diagnose and fix the problem:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1411#symp1

copy and paste the link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
