Maybe you didn't set one, in which case it might be the last 4 digits of your number.

I WAS ASKED TO PROVIDE THE PIN NUMBER OF TEW650AP.

If you log into the web management portal (default should be 192.168.0.1) and log in with your credentials, you should be able to see the PIN # in there and change it if need be.

Can't find the PIN of this product

Good morning. There is no PIN to find on the router. You get the PIN from the Wireless client and enter into the router setup screen.
The wireless router supports two types of WPS, the WPS via Push Button and WPS via PIN code. If you want to use the Push Button, you have to push a specific button on the wireless client or in the utility of the wireless client to start the WPS mode, and switch the wireless router to WPS mode. You can simply push the WPS button of the wireless router, or click the 'Start to Process' button in the web configuration interface. If you want to use the PIN code, you have to know the PIN code of the wireless client and switch it to WPS mode, then fill-in the PIN code of the wireless client through the web configuration interface of the wireless router.

Here is the link for the Owners Manual for your router..

I cant get wi-fi on my acer 5742-7620 dont know what username or password and defult means or how to get an ip addres or even my pin number is or what networks im looking for i live in winkleman arizona

Rachael,

YYou need the SSID (network name) and password of the wireless network you are trying to connect to. If you don't have this information, there is a 99% chance you will not be able to connect. If you don't have access to a wireless network, go to any computer store and buy a wireless router to connect to your home network. The login information for the router will be included.

I cant find the 8 digit pin on the router lable of the router. d-link dir-615

Hello,
Connect a network cable to your computer from your router. Goto http://192.168.0.1 on your web browser. Press login (password may be blank or it might be admin, or if you setup your own password, put it in)
Click Wireless Settings (on the left menu) Now click Manual Wireless Network Setup. The current PIN will be displayed here. You can reset the PIn to default or generate a new one, or if you don't want to use PIN protected setup, disable it by taking the check mark out of the Enable option.
Regards, Chris

I need my wireless network name and security password. How do I get this?

If you do not know your wireless security password, you will not be able to get it. Your only choice will be to reset the router and redo the setup. to do this - find the reset inset on back of router...press with pin or extruded paperclip end. hold down button while removing power, continue to hold, leave disconnected for 1 minute, hold down button again - plug in unit. release button. it should now be set back to factory. You will now need to login to the router - using the factory settings (likely a web interface - connect to router hardwire). Passord likely blank so hit enter with Admin user...again likely this default but manual will tell you. Good luck!

HI, I updated my router firmware, and now it's aking for a 8 digit pin number that i don't have. Where do I find it? There is nothing on the back. Thanks.

You may find the user manual on this site, where you can download it to access your router's configuration utility.
On most routers it can be accessed using the IP address 192.168.0.1 in your web browser.

I need a pin to setup my wireless network. they say to look on the router for a pin. but there is clearly no pin number on the router. How do i find my pin or reset it?

If your internet service provider had previously set up your wireless network, they will typically leave a sticker on the bottom of your router with the key to connect to it. However if you're setting it up for the first time open your web browser and go to 192.168.1.1 There is no user name and the password is 'admin' (no single quotes) by default.

I have two laptops and want to set up a wireless network. I have the wireless set up but it isn't secure. When I go in to the Homegroups page it asks me for a 4 or 8 digit PIN number found on the router....

If you don't know it, you won't be able to automate your Wifi Protected Setup (WPS). The pin is a very specific way to prevent yourself from always having to remember codes, keys, passphrases, etc. Without it, its like saying that you want to to connect to Bank of America, and that it's just okay because you want it to happen.

The following is taken from the ESR-9753 manual:

- Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)

WPS is the simplest way to establish a connection between the wireless clients
and the wireless router. You don’t have to select the encryption mode and fill in a
long encryption passphrase every time when you try to setup a wireless
connection. You only need to press a button on both wireless client and wireless
router, and the WPS will do the rest for you.

The wireless router supports two types of WPS: WPS via Push Button and
WPS via PIN code. If you want to use the Push Button, you have to push a
specific button on the wireless client or in the utility of the wireless client to start
the WPS mode, and switch the wireless router to WPS mode. You can simply
push the WPS button of the wireless router, or click the ‘Start to Process’ button
in the web configuration interface. If you want to use the PIN code, you have to
know the PIN code of the wireless client and switch it to WPS mode, then fill-in
the PIN code of the wireless client through the web configuration interface of the
wireless router.
