Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

My omega washer dryer, OWD8000WA, does not wash

After it gets the water, it stops for a while to think, then a few minutes later it ends the cycle (i've used all the different cycle settings, from express to daily cycles without success) without emptying the water. I then have to run the rinse function to empty the water, which it does so successfully.

If your dryer is a condenser type maybe you need to yank out the condenser and give it a good clean. Could not make the model number posted work.

SOURCE: My washer rarely spins anymore

due to not seeing a model number provided I will assume this is a top loader one of the ways to check the spin is to start the unit in the spin mode with no clothes in the unit then take the palm of your hand and put the palm against the side wall if the unit stops spining then you would need to replace the clutch in the unit here is also a video of how the clutch is replaced if you have any further questions message me back or if your unit is not a top load whirlpool also message me back with this information and please remember when our chat has fully concluded to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance repair situation Thanks again Rick

Dry cycle

Try setting the washer dial to the stop setting at the end of setting number 4 then set the dryer timer and turn on the machine.  This works for mine to get the dryer to run by itself.  It should begin about 30 seconds later, when the door locks.  Hope this helps.

either a faulty pressure switch / pot or faulty controller - either way you will need to call someone in.

How can I fix my whirlpool thin twin washer?

It almost sounds like your motor is kicking out on overload. The fact that it starts agitating after the fill can rule out the pressure switch. You have installed a new timer so we should be able to rule that out. It's possible that your pump is binding, which is attached directly to your motor and causing it to overheat. To tell for sure you would have to check the motor to see if it's getting power when it cuts out. Check your terminal block where the power cord comes in to see if all connections are secure. Other possibilities could be the clutch and brake assy. With out being there too see the problem, this is where I would start.
