Question about Bosch Axxis WFL 2060 Front Load Washer

1 Answer

A few months ago the unit started becoming sensitive: that is, when I would close the door, less than gently, it would automatically start, not waiting for me to press the start button on the panel. Now I can get it to fill and it starts to agitate but barely. If I press the drain selection to drain the water, I get a "door open?" error message - and a blown fuse.

Hi dkensil,

thank you for using fixya.

yep you are correct, this is a blown fuse and a blown capacitor issue. worst case is a faulty control board, but this is thinking too far ahead.

these issue is usually a result for a faulted control board because the machine cannot understand the command you are giving it doing a different task. this can be resolved with cleaning and re-soldering of circuit of the control board. replacing the control board is also and option if the repair man tell you that re-soldering has a 200$ price tag.

this is doable through DIY, but having a professional do it will assure functionality.

regards,

voodoo

On the side of the opener there are 2 knobs. One for sensitivity, one for close and open. With one of the closers in one hand start adjusting the open close until you have it right. Then put a empty cardboard box under the door to adjust the sensitivity,so it will automatically will open when it hits the box.

This problem is caused by a microswitch that is sticking in the closed position. Inspect and replace the defective microswitch in the latch assembly.

Active Vent opens and closes continuously while unit is idle

I had GE look at the problem today (my microwave is less than a year old and under warranty). He replaced the cam louver and that seems to have fixed the problem. This is a small motor accessible by removing three screws and the active vent door. The whole visit was less than 15 minutes.<!-- from fixya rte -->

LG LMVM2055: Cooked itself?

First you will need to answer a few quick questions between yourselves.
  1. Do you have life insurance?
  2. Is it enough for the wife and kids to survive on
  3. Whats the number for 911
After you answer all these questions, then pick up the microwave, and take it for a long drive.
There are bits inside there that will happily kill you days after it has been turned off. (some even weeks)
For the cost of a replacement in this case, it's not worth it.

Door hard to close have starts to close stops and starts to open again have to keep stopping and reversing door mult times to get closed

There should be two small white adjustment knobs on the side of the unit that you turn with a small flathead screwdriver. These are the load / limit adjusters.

What it happening is it think there is something stuck under the door (like a car hood, etc)

These adjustments are VERY sensitive, so be patient while adjusting them.
