You can only use Tracfone with Tracfone supplied phones. you can't do anything unless you get the phone from Tracfone. Either return the LGs, or ditch Tracfone.
Surprise No. 1: You would think that a SIM from one TracFone would be "compatible" in another, but it is not. The SIM card serial number and the phone serial number are tied together. They don't tell you this anywhere. You find out when you buy a new phone and try to use the old SIM in the new phone and get "Unregistered SIM" on the new phone screen. So you call Tech Support, who will then tell you the good news...they cannot be swapped. Why does it work this way? "Because that's the way The System is set up."

Why does my phone display "SIM card registration failed/Unregistered SIM" or
When your TracFone is turned on you may receive the message "SIM card
registration failed", "Unregistered SIM", or "No Service" because your phone has
not yet been Activated. Please disregard this message, it will disappear once
your phone is Active.
You'll wanna ensure your phone is totally charged. Also, let it completely drain before putting back on the charger. This will help with the charging memory. As for the phone. Do a master reset: to do a "Master Reset". I went to "Settings," "Other Settings,"
"Initial Setup," "Master Reset" and put in the security code. "1234" is
the security code if you have not reset yours.
It'll get the phone back to as you got out of the box, day one! Your numbers will be fine. You'll notice the ringtone and the wall paper will be the orignals.
