I believe you meant to say Anode. So this would be a water heater or plumbing question. That picture of an anode looks like brand new. Are you having trouble installing a replacement? Sometimes, the ceiling isn't high enough to aim straight down into the opening. A flexible or linked rod solves this. How do i remove an snode - 5_10_2014_7_41_24_pm.jpg

Hello Ion;

My name is Peter. I am a retired (excuse the expression) Sears field service appliance technician.

First, The people who installed your appliances are not technicians. Sears contracts delivery people to deliver appliances.
Often, It is not uncommon for me to make service calls the day after an appliance has been installed.

First, shut both the hot and cold water supply valves off. Remove the connection hoses from the valves. Be careful, where I am going with this is, after years of not being operated your shut off valves my be bad and partially block with rubber seating material. So, when you turn off the valves some water will still be in the lines. Your valves could be turned off, faulty and full open.

Now, with the hoses removed, open each water valve. Check for full flow. If you have a blocked cold water valve you will get an error code.

Next, the connections on your washer are marked; 'C' & 'H'. Make sure you have the hot water line to the 'H' and the cold water line to the 'C'. You will get an error code if the lines are reversed.

Aquastar125WP is overheating and the strainer has been removed. We need to fix it. Have any ideas? Thanks for your support, Martina

Before calling service technician, open following links for troubleshoot resources:
The problem could be bad gas control solenoid, or bad sensor, or bad wiring or bad PC-board, etc, or combination of problems. Fixing one problem may not completely fix problem.

Before installing tankless water heater, read the service manuals and product manual to make sure you have testing skills and equipment needed to repair tankless gas water heater, and that you are prepared to buy expensive parts and do the recommended yearly and monthly maintenance.
Also check that area has qualified service technician, and that person carries parts on-hand, and is certified to service your model number. Keep Tankless manufacturer contact information on-hand, and be skeptical of promises of unlimited hot water, and effortless long-lasting water heating, and saving money. The only folks saying this are the folks selling the product, and not their customers.

Fix most tankless gas water heaters yourself, same day, all brads for about $350.

Water heater supplies about a pint of hot water than turns cold?? what is th eproblem

Hello Rsjohnson164,

I understand that you are having a problem with your hot-water tank not producing any amount of hot-water. I would suggest that you turn off the cold water supply to your hot water tank and drain the tank and see how much water comes out of it.

Flush the tank:
1. Turn off the cold water supply
2. Hook a water hose to the boiler valve (spicket on the bottom of the tank) and turn on the valve
3. Turn on the cold water inlet line and let it run for about 15 minutes or until you get good pressure coming out.

Check the Elements:
1. Turn off the power to the hot-water tank
2. Remove the service panels
3. Remove one wire from the element and use a multi-meter to check continuity
4. If no continuity replace one or both elements

If you do all of this and still have a problem repost to this thread and we will check your thermostats to make sure they are working properly.

Thank you for choosing

Hot/cold water dispenser. Why is cold indicator blinking and no cold water dispensed?

We typically service Hoshizaki, but you may not be getting water into the resivior. Depending on model, you may need to remove bottle and probe and check the silicone seal, reseal and re attach. Also be sure that hoses are connected and fully pushed into the connectors. And of course make sure you have a water supply. Could take up to an hour for water to re chill again. Hope this helps. We are installing an American Standard Water heater and are wondering do we need to remove the pink plastic plug/gramet in the hot water side and the blue plastic plug/grammet from the cold water intake...

Yes, if these plastic parts cover pipe thread or would stop the flow of water.
If the plastic parts simply sit around the pipe like a collar, then they do not have to be removed.
Red marks for Hot pipe
Blue for cold water inlet.
If your hot and cold are reversed, then water heater will not function.
In ordinary installation, cold water line has the shut off valve.

Cold water wont come into machine

Some handy links;

FAV6800A/FAV9800A Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for reference.

You could have a Cold Water inlet screen clogged. Turn off the Cold water supply to the machine and remove the cold water connection at the washer.
Take a pair of needle nose pliers and remove the remove the Cold Water Inlet screen as shown if it is clogged flush clean then reinstall and turn on the Cold Water supply valve.
I have my back Console cover remove for other work. The H/C water valve solenoids are seen here.

If you still have no Cold Water the valve may be stuck closed, or you have no 120VAC being applied to the Cold Water valve.
If you have 120VAC applied to the valve and no water flow the valve assembly will have to be replaced.
You can go into service mode and turn the Cold Water Valve and see if you hear it hum.
Enter / Exit Service Mode
To enter Service Mode press the Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys (simultaneously) for three seconds or until the control beeps the display will read 00.
Now got to page 16 of the Service Manual Board Output Test While in Service Mode, pressing the Delicates key will begin the Board Output Test. This test turns on a specified output after a key press.

Now press the Spin Only key…..did you hear the Cold Water valve hum. If so the 120VAC is applied from the Control Board and the valve may be stuck closed. If this is the issue the Water Valve inlet assembly will need to be replaced. Keep in mind I’m a technical owner and would double check the 120VAC on the Cold water valve solenoid before replacing. I’m just providing general info.

A work around if you are a Cold water user only like me is to reverse the hose connections at the washer hot to cold, cold to hot then select hot water fill. You now are filling the washer thru the Hot Water Valve assembly with the cold water supply source. The p/n from is 12002242 for the valve assembly.

If you need to replace try a local parts supplier to make sure your 120VAC connections are the same as the original Water Valve Inlet assembly. The Service Manual will step you thru replacement if this is required.
Good luck and post back if you have questions…….Rich

Hi Big Wags

I would remove both water hoses at the back of the washer and check the Hot & Cold inlet screens for a clog/restriction.

They look like this;

You can turn the individual valves on in service mode using the procedure on page 16 of the Service Manual.

To enter Service Mode; press and hold simultaneously the Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys for three seconds or until the control beeps and the display reads “00”.

Now go into board output test by pressing the Delicates key.

Now press the Normal button to open the Hot Water Valve you can press the Normal button again to turn off the valve or just press the Off button to end the process. Or just use the wash cycle to toggle the H/C water valves on. I like folks to become familiar with using Service Mode and the SM.

If the inlet screens are free of debris and you have good water pressure from your source valve then you may have to replace the valve assembly Here is a link to check for FAV6800AW PARTS Sears Parts Direct. Shout back If you have questions. Rich
