Try the cards in another camera. If you get good images to show, then the problem is in the cameras. If not, then the problem is in the reader. See whether some dirt is in the slot interfering with the contacts.
You can purchase a recovery disk from the manufacturer for around $15 plus shipping. It will put your system back to original factory settings. Please note that your settings, programs and data will no longer be there when you do this.
