Maybe it would be good to know more about your timer, line voltage, load, and load rating:

Hi - My Intermatic T101P3 timer motor stops after it turns off the pool pump. I have one start and one stop time in a 24 hr period. I have to manually start the pump at the timer in the morning,...

Sounds like the clock leads are on the wrong posts, or at least the hot one is. If if was moved to the load side then manually starting the timer will also power up the clock motor. As soon as the clock trips the off timer, the pump and the clock motor are both off. Examine the clock leads to the wiring diagram inside the clock box cover to ensure they are connected correctly. I bet you'll find one of the wires is misplaced.

I have installed a new adjustable thermostat unit (E1-BCANRT1W). Temp is set at 91 deg and I am using the timer. Two time periods are set and the switch is set to timer (not ON). The unit comes on at...

Double check your slide switch.
For timer: set switch to TIMER
For thermostat: set switch to ON
If slide switch does not operate, then Autocirc may be defective

http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Auto-circ-manual.pdf
http://waterheatertimer.org/Water-heater-recirculation-system.html

1) Household AC wiring will not affect the timer.
You can check your outlet using cheap circuit analyzer from home center.
The clock rotates one direction and the pins push small lever down which turns motor on-off.
When the OFF pins pass, the small lever snaps back and the motor turns ON.

I cannot immediately find operation manual for the E-1 model.
Typical ACT303 auto circ manual says following:

2) If timer controlled operation is desired, set timer and move slide switch to TIMER:
Manual says: tabs/pins are outward for ON times.
Another sentence says UPWARD, so I don't know which way the pins are set for sure.
So if you want timer ON for 2 hours, you would set 4 consecutive pins outward or upward.
ON for 6 hours, set 12 consecutive pins outward or upward.
If the timer turns ON in reverse of instructions, then set the pins that way.
Autocirc does not make the timer, they buy timer modules from clock-makers like Grasslin, Intermatic, etc.

3) To operate Autocir thermostatically without the timer, slide switch to ON position.
The clock dial will continue rotating

1) Order 240V T100 series clock motor.

http://www.amazon.com/Intermatic-Clock-Motor-Leads-WG433-20D/dp/B0031DOHLG

2) Order extra trippers too since they are designed to wear down so they don't damage tripper lever.
Put dab of white (bicycle) grease on the tripper lever.

3) Turn power off.
Mechanism snaps out using thumb-spring located inside box at top.
Clock motor is held with two star-screws. Buy bit at auto parts store.
Clock motor wires attach to terminals 1 and 3
Reattach terminal screws very tight against copper wire and make sure wire-insulation is not caught under screw clamp.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html
To re-set current time, lift and rotate dial until current time lines up with silver pointer.

4) See next generation of Intermatic pool timers that snap into same box.
New timer controls 3 separate circuits with different schedules for each circuit, so the single timer can replace both mechanical timers. Wiring is complicated, programming is complicated. I am still reading the manual, and it makes sense to me, so you can trust fixya to help in event that you replace your timers next ten years.

5) Add a comment for more free help.
Also take advantage of fixya phone service.
For a price, expert speaks with you over phone while you work on timer or any do-it-yourself project.
Fixya is always less expensive than a service call.

THE CLOCK IS STOPPED

If clock does not rotate the dial then Intermatic mechanical timers will not turn ON-and-Off.

The problem could be 1) no voltage to timer 2) bad timer 3) bad clock motor

1) No voltage
First thing to check on any timer is the manual override
If the manual override turns the load (or sprinklers) on-and-off, then your timer has power
Next check the breaker to make sure it is not tripped
Check your GFCI receptacles if timer happens to be on one of those circuits
Stand on dry boards, tape tester lead to wood stick to keep hands away from power, Use tester inside timer and test each screw terminal to bare ground wire, or test black wires to white wires to see if any power shows inside box.

If the manual override seems stiff and sluggish, the timer may be bad

2) Bad timer
Timers that sit outside get rusty and dirty
Click manual override to see if it clicks crisp and new
Next, turn off power and release timer mechanism using metal spring located at top >>> tip mechanism out of box and look at the metal gears >>> are they rusty or are they clean >>> spray a little WD-40
Does it look like the tripper pins are caught on the tripper lever? Does it look like the unit is too rusty for the clock motor to click manual override on-and-off?
You can buy a new Intermatic timer of the same type and simply exchange insides without changing out the whole box

3) Bad clock motor
Clock motors go bad
The wheel stops turning.
Clock motor is located on back of timer mechanism > it has identifying markings
If everything else on timer checks out, then you can order a new clock motor

Set clock on sd-kv550-su

Hi there,

There are two ways to set the clock on your machine, firstly by using the 'auto clock' feature and also a manual setup, if the auto setup doesn't work then you will need to setup your machine manually. the 'auto clock' feature will atempt set itself up and will take approx 4 mins for the machine to adjust itself. There is also a daylight saving setting which you can either have set to on or off. The auto and manual steps that I have added below have been taken from the user manual for your your Toshiba SD-V295 pages 24 - 26.

Hope this helps,

James

Auto Clock Adjustment
Preparation:
• Turn ON the TV and select the corresponding video input.
• Press VCR DVD selector to select the VCR mode.
(The VCR mode indicator will light.)
1. Connect the Antenna or Cable system.
If you use a cable box, turn it on.
2. Plug the AC power cord to the AC outlet.
3. Make sure the DVD/VCR is turned off.
If you press POWER, the Auto Clock set is not programmed.
4. Wait at least three minutes and press POWER.
5. Press CALL DISPLAY to check the clock setting on the on screen display.
6. If the clock is not set, check the antenna
condition. The AUTO CLOCK may not function properly if the reception condition
is not good.

Manual clock setting
1. Press VCR MENU.
2. Press SET + or – to select “SYSTEM SETUP”, then press ENTER.
3. Press SET + or – to select “CLOCK SET”, then press ENTER.
4. Press SET + or – to set the month, then press ENTER.
5. Set the day, year and time as in step 4.
6. After setting the clock, date and time starts functioning automatically

Timer will run when flipped on manually

THE YELLOW DIAL MOVES THE HAND STAYS IN THE SAME SPOT POINTED DOWN AND NEVER MOVES, THESE ARE A TUFF TIMER AND TO SET IT YOU MUST LIFT OUT ON THE YELLOW DIAL TO SET THE TIME AND THE DIAL SHOULD SPRING BACK TO THE GEAR TO RUN , MAKE SURE THE DIAL IS SET IN THE GEAR BY TURNING LIGHTLY LEFT AND RIGHT . LOOK ON THE BACK OF THE TIMER MOTOR AND MAKE SURE IT THE 208 - 277 VOLT . IF THATS THE VOLTAGE YOU ARE NEEDING FOR YOUR PUMP ONE MORE THING MAKE SURE THE GEAR FROM THE MOTOR IS MESHING WITH THE BIG GEAR THAT RUNS THE TIMER, THESE TIMERS GET RETURNED TO THE STORE WITH A BAD MOTOR IN THEM AND THEY JUST STICK THEM BACK ON THE SHELF.. RCA RP5420 clock radio will not auto set time. Please help

Bob, My auto-set worked fine. I'd suggest setting the time manually (by sliding the top-rear slider all the way to the right and using the '<<rev' and 'fwd>>' buttons) if you are still having problems.
