This might help. However you could try putting the damper door in without the spring and moving it through its open and closing to see what is near the door the spring could hook to. Look for small holes or tabs.
What I do is check the bottom mount. Make sure the plastic shims are all ok then sit the door on that and attach the center mount. I then set the top door onand attach the top hinge last. I have some apartment seminar lit. tha covers good old whirlpool ice box's, but hay once you fixed one you have basically fixed em all.
i would recommend a technician to help you with this. this part that fell out is from the motor head off the icemaker. have the technician put it back together and make sure that there is nothing else loose.
