SOURCE: HTC Touch is frozen. I

Is your phone in the frozen state even after removing the battery for two full minutes? If the phone is still frozen you will not be able to do anything with the phone until this is resolved. And the way to do that is to do a hard reset. Unfortunately there may be no other alternative but a hard reset. The new Samsung Instinct has mobile sync which automatically backs up your contacts into your sprint.com account so if this type of thing were to ever happen you would have the comfort of knowing that your address book was still intact.

E-mail doesn't work, can text and use phone

This problem could be due to the lack of GPRS service. GPRS stands for General Packet Radio Service, and it's what allows your device to access data. The first thing you should do is perform a soft reset. If that doesn't work, perform a hard reset. After both resets, check your wireless antenna signal strength. The antenna should show GPRS. If you can still make phone calls and access the Web, then your GSM service is still available. Try sending yourself an email ?€" does it work? If it doesn't, call your BlackBerry provider. Sometimes, your service could be delayed due to a billing problem or to downtime on the network.

My Palm Tungsten E2 does not turn on.

Have you tried doing a soft reset? To do a soft reset, use the tip of the stylus to gently press the reset button inside the hole on the back panel of your handheld.

You have likely installed some application that is interfering with phone. Start with latest application you installed, then gradually uninstall all application you added to phone till problem is fixed. To view and uninstall applications, go to Start/Settings/Remove Programs.

If you have no luck with this, then Hard Reset your phone. You can do a Hard Reset which will reset your phone to its original factory settings. Any applications or personal data you put on the phone since owning will be lost. You can recover personal file if you have backed them up, of if you have License 'Key' numbers you got when you purchase them. Some App suppliers will have you an record and will email your Lic # if your email has not changed since purchase.

To Hard Reset, turn off your phone and then turn it back own while holding down both left and right soft keys till you get a screen asking if you want to Reset it. Another Hard Reset method, if you can get to Start Menu/Accessories folder when phone is powered, is choose Clear Storage and clear the storage. This may not work on some phone models, but note this method will also reset your phone to 'as purchased' state, with all stuff you added since removed.

Note a Soft Reset is the same thing as just turning phone off then back on as normal. It does nothing but re-power your phone, but a Hard Reset recovers your phone operating system from phones MFG ROM and resets it back to original as purchased state.

Well, thank God I had done a recent Hot sync! I found out how to do a hard reset by holding down the power button while reinserting the battery then letting the button go and the system will ask if you want to erase all data? I put yes! Then it erases all my data and restarts the phone. I had to plug the phone in to be recharged because the looping ultimately drains the battery. Then, I plugged in the Hot sync cable and pushed the button to start the sync and ta da! back to its working state! Yippee! Do it! It's easy! Just make sure to hot sync often so your info stays current!

You can try a Hard Reset which will reset your phone to its original factory settings, but it is likely a bad screen or screen interface problem. Any applications or personal data you put on the phone since owning will be lost. Some App suppliers will have you an record and will email your Lic # if your email has not changed since purchase.

If this doesn't work, as a last resort, or first try if your handy, disassemble the phone to its screen interface with the phone's printed circuit board. Clean interface and disconnect then reconnect any cable interfaces.
