Question about LG 47 47LV5500 47 LCD TV
Dear Expert: I have a 47" LG 47LV5500 LCD TV. It once showed that it would lose display within 3 seconds and sure enough, the display was gone then in 3 seconds. After this time, every time when I turn it on, the display will stay about 3 seconds then disappear. But audio is still there. I looked closely that I can still see the picture, but very very dim. If I use the remote control to adjust anything, the display will change normally though it is difficult to see.
What Russ Hill has said is a fairly good explanation and I will pay my respects by not repeating it.
What I'd like to add is that sometimes the problem is not in the LED strip, but in the cable between the LED controller and the LED strip - the cables are undersized and literally just burn.
So sometimes you may get lucky and not have to replace LED strip.
if you need to replace the main board, though, here's where you can:

Hi the tv has detected a fault with the back lighting, now it could be a problem with the voltage to the back light or some of the leds in the back light have failed, it will turn off the back light when it finds a fault. behind the screen there is rows of leds on strips and they all light up when the screen is in use. and the main board knows they are lighting up by the voltage its using. when to many leds go out the voltage is too high so it will turn the back lights off to save them. also the same if the power board is not supplying the right volts. say the volts need to light the back screen is 64 volts and its only giving 62 volts the power is not right so it shuts down. same for if the volts go up to 64.5 volts it will do the same. hope this helps you under stand.

Try One of your working TVS and connect it to your cable outlet of the TV that is having problems. If that TV Does not work then there may be a degraded fitting or the Leg coming of the splitter to that outlet could have a Low Signal Problem
Next Take the First TV that was not working properly and put it on the cable outlet of one of the TVs that is working properly and if the TV set works on that Channel then you know it is not your TV that it must be the cable

Might be ur controller inverter board or main video backlight board.Ur video does show up a picture right? That the only two boards that related to video. My adviced to u is buy the controller inverter board first tried that,if not work return it for money back, but must pay restocking fee. That the board between the power supply and main backlight video board.Than u know for sure it the main video backlight board.
