Try Resetting the Camcorder. To Reset the Camcorder, first open the LCD of the Camcorder to locate the Camcorder(on the side of the Camcorder, next to RECORD and VOLUME buttons). Then, press and release the RESET button using a sharp pointed object. Then, check whether the issue is resolved.
If the issue still persists service of the Camera is required.
You may also try changing the battery.

I WANT TO RECORD LIVE TV DIRECTLY ON THE HARD DISK OF MY SONY HANDYCAM DCR- SR68. HOW TO DO IT?

Put your camcorder on a stale support like a tripod, point it at your TV screen, and press the START/STOP button to start recording.
Seriously, the DCR-SR68 is a video camera, not a video recorder. It can record video through the lens and then play them back, either on its own screen, a computer, or a TV. It cannot record from an external video source.

My Sony DCR DVD 108 has no image at all with or with out disc says lens cap may be closed but it isnt flashing E:61:11 top right hand side of touch screen plays previously recorded dvd fine but thats it.

You may have lost your image sensor.
  1. Take lens cap off.
  2. Look in lens make sure there is nothing on or blocking lens.
  3. Find bright room & see if image comes up.
  4. Make sure your in video record mode.
  5. If you have eyepiece lens look to make sure it is off. {Most cams will not let you use both at same time.}
  6. Still no image try recording on blank disk then play back see if image is recording.
If that does not work MSG back.

Would record images

DCR-DVD100 is mentioned in free of cost CCD replacement scheme announced by Sony.
If you want to replace it by yourself then it requires few $$ and soldering expertise.
I would recommend to contact Sony and let the job done by Sony experts. You will spend $15 in shipment, Click Sony Support for details.
Good Luck.

Black scene frame

i think you have changed the screen into other mode so that you are unable to see the recording picture there will be a switch to change the mode at the back of the cam or at the right of the cam.
