Sounds like a main board fault. Contact any service technician to make it confirm. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

Replaced the 4 power capacitors now tv runs for 15min. then picture turns black and volume stays on

when the picture goes black, dim the light in the room and shine a bright flashlight on the screen. If you see a faint picture, you have a backlight problem. If this issue came about after you installed the capacitors, double check the installation of your caps. Ensure that you don't have cold solder joints or broken joints!

Tv comes on then picture goes out but still has sound but no picture

Sounds like a back light failure. To verify this, turn on the set, dim the lights in room. Shine a bright flash light on the screen, if you see a faint picture on the screen, you have a back light failure. You either have a blown back lamp, 24v circuit fault, or a failed inverter board.

Sound on but no picture

Is the screen pitch black or a blue/grayish ? Dim the lights in the room, and shine a bright flash light on the panel. Turn on the set, if you see a faint picture, you have a backlight issue

When i boot up power button on monitor goes on off resulting in flickering picture.

hi look for a bulging or bad electrolytic capacitors in the PSU board which cause the output voltage drop, usually 1500 uf/ 16v.just replace those bad cap then it will resume to normal operation good luck thanks for consulting through fixya.

My my samsung LNT4061FX/XAA turn on but no pictures only sound whats wrong with it

If you shine a flashlight onto the screen, can you see a very faint picture. If yes, then your lcd panel is not lighting up. Replace the inverters or the panel.

first I would check the power supply for faulty caps, replace if neccessary.

My screen is blank. the sound works perfectly and if u get up close you can make out the picture but theres no light to emit the image. im played with the brightness and back light and that didnt change...

If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed SAMSUNG monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

PSU or inverter problem?

I would recomend replacing the 11 caps on the inverter as 90% of the time its failed capacitors on the inverter. If you shine a bright light into the screen can you see the pic? Thats usually one of the first things I do when I suspect bad caps on the inverter.

Low or no luminance

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, dark, etc. You may even see halos around images.

What you will need to do is replace the coolant and clean the crt. You can get a repair kit from www.TvRepairKits.com that includes replacement coolant, photos. instructions, etc.

Tv showing blue screen with flyback lines sound ok

Flyback lines? Is the picture all white with no brightness control with faint horizontal faint lines? If this is what you are saying, the screen voltage could be bad, and if thats the case, the picture tube or the flyback itself could be bad. You could also have a bad connection on the crt socket
