Check to see if one of the knobs on the timer has a "man" setting. This is for manual. Many times the clock will shut off the oven and moving the clock dial to man will close the switch in the clock to allow the oven to work. If it doesn't have this "man" setting check to see if there is a start and stop time. Make sure the start is out and the stop is pushed in.

SOURCE: Main bottom oven not working

i solved the problem by replacing element . new one cost 23 euro from electrolux spare parts dealer .1 undo 4 screws of plate inside the bottom oven . [ plate has holes in a circle patern in the middle of it ] . 2 gentle remove plate and expose the element .3 element has 3 srews .undo these and gentle take away from ovens backwall wall this will expose 2 wires that are connected to the element .3 very gentle unclip the wires from element . {grip the clips not the wires } connect new element and replace all screws and outer plate . this worked for me ....... remember to turn off the power to the oven before you go at it .

SOURCE: bottom oven not working

A tripped breaker or blown fuse on an electric oven or cook-top, combined with an element that has stopped working, is usually a sign of a shorted, then blown (if the fuse or breaker no longer fail) element.

If you know how to use an ohmeter, you can pull the element, disconnect the wires from each end, then measure the resistance between each end of the element, and each element to the outer sheath.

A good element has just a few ohms of resistance between the wire connection points, and infinite resistance from the wire connection points to the outer sheath. Any readings other than that means the element is bad and need's to be replaced.

The main (bottom) oven does not seem to be heating up. I can hear the fan working but that is it. The make and model is Zanussi ZKC5030X1 I have tried the obvious solution, or pressing the buttons...

Most likely it is a failed heating element although it could also be a faulty thermostat, the only way to tell is to have them checked over with a circuit tester which will tell you which it is

We have Smeg DUCO8CSS double electric oven. Bottom oven does not work, clock is blank and fan doesn't work. Top oven OK ! - though usually the fan runs when this is operating.

If the clock is blank, then the main oven will not work, as the clock timer is linked with the main oven.
You need to to get the clock working, or you will not be able to use the main oven

Stoves 720EF - main fan not working

When you say the main fan, do you mean the background cooling fan or do you mean the circulating fan in the bottom oven?
Do you have the handbook for this oven as the wiring diagrams are included in it. If you haven't, you can take a copy from my BT Digital Vault - all I need is an email address to register you.
Looking at the diagram, the power for the cooling fan comes via the timer board. If, as you say, the fan doesn't work at all, the timer board could have gone faulty.

I think I might have a manual for this oven! Is it a built-in job with the grill at the bottom and main oven at the top, made by Thorn Tricity?

Oven won't heat

Check your main panel. If you ran it for a long time with the door open, the elements never reached their shutoff temperature. Quite possibly, you burned them out.

Just brought a bosch oven and there no life in the bottom oven

If it has a timer, then make sure it is set manual and not auto, or the oven will not work.
Try pressing 2 buttons at the left of timer and one button on right of timer to set it to manual, if it does not work this way, then try another combination of buttons.
Hope this helps.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Neff Oven

It appears that the timer has gone faulty, possibly because of a short in the bulb holder, which probably explains why there is no display and the main oven not working. the top will still work as it is not controlled by the timer.
the solution hear would to be fit a new timer.
