Why does the red light om my 2002 crown vic flash fast when I attemp to start it

Which red light? The one on top of the dash? If so, there are two cases where that light will flash rapidly: If you use the wrong programmed key, it will immediately start flashing rapidly when you turn on the ignition and try to start the car. If the light is steady and then starts flashing rapidly after a few seconds when you turn on the ignition or try to start the car, you are using the correct programmed key but the engine computer has a problem or has failed.

You probably need data recovery help to get the data off your flash drive but first try a free program like Recuva to save your data: http://www.piriform.com/recuva

A good choice for fast remote data recovery performed over the Internet is: http://FreeDataRecovery.us

Another reasonably priced choice but you need to ship out the flash drive is: http://300dollardatarecovery.com

I'm running windows 7 on a Toshiba L455 and I keep getting a prompt that says; can not find "flash.ocx"

Flash is a programming language that many publishers use to create animations, games, and interactive programs for the web. Flash is also used for programs run locally on a users computer. To use these Flash based programs and web applets, the end-user must have Flash Player installed. One component of Flash Player is a file called "flash.ocx." If this file is missing or damaged, you may get an error message.

There seems to be two root causes of this error. A description and solution for each follows:

  • You receive the error message "Cannot find the file flash.ocx" every time you start your computer or each time you open your web browser (such as Internet Explorer). This is usually the result of a missing "flash.ocx" file caused by an incomplete installation of Flash. Here's how to remedy the problem:
    1. Download the Flash Player uninstallrom Macromedia. Save it somewhere convenient.
    2. Run the downloaded program and allow it to finish.
    3. Once the uninstall completes, restart your computer.
    4. Visit the Flash Player website and download/install the latest Flash Player version.
    5. That's it!
  • You receive the error message "Cannot find the file flash.ocx" at seemingly random intervals or when starting a specific program (other than your web browser). First, perform steps 1-4 of the previous solution. This will insure you have the latest version of Flash Player installed. If you still receive the error message, continue with the steps below:
    1. Navigate to the folder "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\". In this folder you will see a file named "Flash9f.ocx".
    2. Make copy of the "Flash9f.ocx" file in the same folder as the original (copy the original, then paste the copied file into the same folder).
    3. Rename the newly made copy to "Flash.ocx".
    4. If the previous steps don't eradicate the error messages, change your screen saver to one of the defaults that are included with Windows (such as "3D Text").
if the problem still persist please let me know.

It is Vitara sidekick 1997 model. Water temp sensor is replaced, the fault code erased, when I start the engine and drive, every thing looks nice, but when I switch off the Ig key and start the engine next...

you can get codes with out scan tool, this is done by counting the engine light flashes, for example a long flash is the first didgt and then faster blinks would be the next number, for example long flash long flash long flash= 3 then fast flash ,fast flash, fast flash, fast flash =4 which would be code 34, to get the codes look in the engine compartment in front of the battery is the connector, you will need a small wire to jump two terminals, jump terminals with wire then turn key on and count flashes, i will give you a diagram to locate connector and it will show you which terminals to jump look at connetor closely to make sure you are jumping the correct terminals, you can turn the key off and on to restart the codes again, this may take you a few trys to get the hang of it but you can restart the codes by just turning the key off and back on, when your done just remove the jumper wire, also a diagram is enclosed to show you how the flashes go, hope this helps ,good luck.

I cannot move a Microsoft Word file to a SanDisk 2 GB Cruzer, getting the message that "Directory or File cannot be created"...Why? What's the solution?

There is a problem with these where putting files directly on the root folder of the drive only allows X amount of files. Open the Cruzer from My Computer and create a new folder. Try dropping the Word file into that new folder and all should be well.

Hope this helps. Look forward to hearing back from you soon!

No Adobe programs will work on my computer. They either say it has stopped working or I get error message 1606. I need help!

If its the reader or the flash I would go to the control panel and uninstall adobe reader and or flash and reinstall only from adobe's web page. If you have high speed the download is pretty fast anyway.

Program garage door opener.

press the two outside buttons at the same time. Hold while message reads "clearing codes"
Once you get a cleared message. hold the button that you want to program as your remote and press it down. The light will flash slowly. Take your remote in your other hand and hold it about 3 inches from your review mirror as close to the windsheild as possible. You must do this as soon as you press your designated button on the panel. Hold until your green light starts flashing fast. Once it flashes fast it means you have programmed your button properly.

Suggestions - do not do this in front of your garage as you remote will make you door go up and down the whole time. Also - make sure your batteries are new in your remote so you get a good signal to your button. Last thing - if one remote does not work after a couple of tries - use another remote.

Try using a different browser, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla SeaMonkey (super-fast), Opera, Google Chrome. I believe that IE now blocks Flash, by default because of the many vulnerabilities within Flash
