Unlikely to be bad wires unless the cat, dog or rodents have chewed through them?

The obvious thing is that as wire has come unplugged.

I have been through a number of sets of computer speakers. I now have a pair of Bowers and Wilkins MM1s. The sound is amazing and they are actually repairable and have great warranty.

Do you have a battery? IF the wires can be put on the ends of the battery listen for sound on the speaker. If you don't hear any scratching sound when the wires are connected or rubbed and disconnected repeatedly on the battery, the wires are bad or the speaker is blown

I have a pioneer 2din deck and it sounds bad. it sounds like the speakers are blown and makes a crackling sound. I have replaced the speakers and it still sounds bad. I don't even have a amp

Make sure the positive and negative wires for the speakers are correctly(not reversed) and securely attached to the mounted speakers and the speaker outlet wires on the deck

You have a lose wire on the speaker or a bad connection on the speaker. Trace the speaker wires back and locate the short.

My hdtv TRUTECH speakers went out today there is no sound coming out i had just purchased it the other from TheTechExchange used how can i fix my speakers?

if its the speakers replace them buy two new speakers...to check and see if its your speakers that are bad get a 1.5 volts battery take two wires attached them negative to positive from the battery to the speakers if you get a scratching sound then your speaker is good if you dont get any scratching sound then your speaker is bad...next step if your speaker is good and you are not getting any sound then your tv has a problem in the audio section....the audio section is where the two wires from the speaker is attached onto.. there is a ic 406 which is the audio amp and two other transistor replace them.good luck.

Why is my sub heartbeating and my amp in protection mode

Sounds like a shorted speaker wire. Try disconnecting speaker from amp and see if protection light goes out- if so replace bad speaker wire. Only other issue i can think of from your short description is that you might have a bad ground going to amp or the remote power wire is bad. try running a new ground wire to a clean metallic spot on you cars chassis close to where the amp is located. Good ground = good clean sound

No sound from speakers, but there is power to amp

make sure the power wire and the remote wire have voltage. at least 12 volts. make sure the ground wire is good and has a good solid ground. after that make sure the rca cables are getting signal from the radio. if you have a small speaker or tweeter you can touch the wires from the speaker to the rca cables and it should play music very quietly. meter the subs and make sure theyre ok and not shorted or bad. if all that checks out good.... the amp is probably bad. start with all the simple stuff and work youre way up. if the amp has good power and signal and good speakers then the only thing thats left is the amp. good luck

Sony HT 6500 receiver...center speaker jack crackles as soon as speaker wire is connected to it. Tried new wire, new speakers...same thing. Tried to reset to factory settings...ONly L and R front speakers...

try to spray contact cleaner into the speaker port itself.. Powered off of course.. let it dry and try again.. this will clean any connectivity issues due to bad contacts.. as far as replacing jacks.. try the suspected "bad" speaker and wiring in another port.. if it works then the speaker and wiring is good and you have to check actual jack in which you were asking and back to auto amplifier circuit or transistors.

Front speaker just quit

I doubt there is a fuse. There are only four possibilities:
1. Speaker blown. 2. Wire slipped off of speaker terminal. 3. Wires from radio to speaker is shorted (not likely). 4. Radio is bad.
My guess is speaker is bad. Try pushing the cone inward while the radio is playing to see if you are getting any sound from the speaker if you do then the speaker is bad and needs to be replaced.
Good luck!

Jensen vm9411 has no sound from radio hookups put rca wires have sound

If the previous radio played all the speakers and the new one wont either:
1. You have not hooked the speakers up right.
2. All your speakers are blown.
3. There is a factory amp, you just don't know about it.
4. The radio has blown final outputs.
5. One or more speakers or speaker wires is seeing a ground (shorted out)

First check the radio, hook up a know good test speaker directly to the speaker outputs on the radio. If it works, then take a 9volt battery and try to pop the inside speakers with it. When you touch the + & - speaker wires to the battery + &- you should hear a pop at the speaker. If you do you don't have an amp. If you don't you might have an amp or the wire going to the speaker is dead or shorted out. It is unlikely that all four speakers would be bad or have bad wires. If none of them will pop you need to turn on the factory amp. Then they will play. If only one speaker wont pop then that is the bad speaker. If they all pop then you have a bad speaker or wire.

Kenwood Car stereo receiver

Sounds like the woofer cones are blown, no fix for that except to replace them.

You did the right thing disconnecting one at a time. Are both speakers doing that? It is a little strange that both would go out at the same time, but stranger things have happened.

If you have an extra speaker laying around someplace that you know is good (even a home stereo speaker), try disconnecting both speakers and connect the one good one to see if it sounds OK. If it sounds good or at least normal, you have some bad speakers. If the one speaker still sounds bad, you have a problem with the speaker wiring someplace. You might even need to run new wires just to rule them out as a problem.

If the problem is not the speakers, then this is a very strange problem indeed!
Good luck and I hope this helps you. If you need more help just reply back after you checked them out a little more.
