SOURCE: When you start machine up the ice shovel moves

I just fixed one of these. I had to take the motor the drives the shovel off the unit and fabricate the pin that goes through the motor shaft. The original pin that goes through the motor shaft obviously wasn't made of stainless steel or aluminum and it rusted away. Take a look at yours and see if the shaft pin is missing. You will need to take the back panels off, there are 6 screws on the bottom of the unit, and two silver screws on the large back panel. Take those off and you will expose the refrigeration unit. Take the screws out that hold the lid on and place them with the others. These will be about an eighth of an inch longer than the ones that came out of the bottom. You will then need to unplug the motor from the two wires, one is red, one is white. Take the two screws that hold the motor on and then remove to motor. The shaft pin is perpendicular to the plane of the motor shaft. If it's not there, your going to have your work cut out for you as the remnants of the original pin is probably rusted solid to the motor shaft. Drill this out if you can't knock it out. I made the new pin out of a stainless steel screw that I ground the threads off of. I then super-glued the new shat pin into the shaft after I cut it to length.

Icemaker is making ice but will not dispense. continues to accumulate then over time ice in the bottom of the dispenser will freeze

I can think of two possible problems. The ice has frozen together and will not allow the ice screw to push the ice out the dispenser. Or the motor for the ice screw is broken.
1. Shut off icemaker with lever at icemaker
2. Remove ice container (either throw away ice or save in another container).
3. Put back empty ice container.
4. Leave ice maker off for about an hour.
5. After an hour , check if motor is working by trying to dispense ice. You should not expect any ice but you should hear the motor /auger moving.
A) If you do not hear any thing , you need to get your motor replaced.
B) If you hear the motor , mostlikely you had an ice dam which prevented the ice dispense from working..You can turn you icemaker on.

When you start machine up the ice shovel moves into position and then back down again never filling with water, also I here nothing running during this time like the cooling fan.

My rangemaster fridge is not dispensing ice anymore what should i do to fix it, when i press the botton it doesnt come out

Try lifting the bar that moves on ice box. If moving this bar has no affect on the machine turning on and off, then the circuit that is attached to it is faulty. You can get manual and parts at repairclinic.com

Ice maker will not dispense the ice

The auger motor and coupling in the rear may be frozen and won't turn.
Remove the ice bin.
Place a screwdriver or similar device in the forks of the auger and twist counterclockwise till it moves. The replace the ice bin and try again.
It will be difficult to move.
If that does not work. Turn off the fridge and use a hair dryer to hrat the auger gear and motor till it frees up.

Danby icemaker not pumping water

I have the same problem, the ice shovel was catching and not moving forward to shovel the ice, this stopped the ice maker. i have cleaned off the surplus plastic from the molding process (on the underside of the shovel) and this so far has cued the problem.

Ice maker

remove the front plastic cover on the icemaker and you will see a bunch of little holes make a jumper wire out #10 or 12 house wire strip about 1/4 inch off the ends an insert in the holes marked t&h this will start a test cycle make sure you hold the plastic insulation so you don't get bit if the ice maker starts cycling remove the wire and watch for it to stop listen for the icemaker valve to open if the ice maker finishes and the valve didn’t fill replace the water valves if the icemaker doesnt cycle and you may have to kind of twist the jumper back and forth to get it to make contact depending on the gauge you used then replace the ice maker motor module if you hear the valve open and the ice maker doesnt fill check for a frozen ice fill tube that should do it

Ice Maker Isn't Working Anymore

yes the door dispenser and the ice maker have separate valves it could be the ice maker valve isn't working properly could be the motor module is bad on the icemaker its self get a 10 gauge piece of wire about three inches long strip about 3/8 to1/2 in off each end pull the front off the icemaker and you will se a bunch of little holes they will have letters on them put the wires in the holes marked t and h kind of wiggle it side to side and watch the ice maker if it does nothing then replace the motor module on the front of the icemaker (you don't have to buy the whole icemaker you can buy the module separate ) if the ejector blades move then when they get to the bottom pull the wire out wit for it to complete its cycle see if it fills if it doesn't then change now if your ice bucket is in the door that can be a whole different animal reply to me and let me know what you find and if you have the icemaker in the door dont buy anything till we check it out as a mater of fact if you pull the bottom kickplate off there should be a tech sheet in it or in a plastic bag under the fridge
