Where do I buy an ink pad for ec3107
SOURCE: Need to change ink pad. Where to buy and how to fix? thanks. Beverly
Hi Beverley
You will need the C86 Service Manual to help you remove the printer top cover and Automatic Sheet Feeder (ASF). The C63/64/65/66/83/84/85/86 service manual can be downloaded from here:
http://www.eserviceinfo.com/downloadsm/12748/Epson_C64%20and%20C84.html
You don't need to buy replacement waste pads - just wash out the old ones and dry them (use a bucket and latex gloves if you want to avoid destroying your sink and nicely manicured hands). Note their order and orientation as you remove them otherwise refitting can be a bit confusing.
You will also need to reset the waste ink protection counter by using the SSC utility - download from:
http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml
Install it, and double click the ssc printer icon in the bottom right corner (System Tray). Choose Configuration and set your printer type, then close the ssc window. Now right click the ssc icon in the sytem tray and choose Protection Counter. Check the current count value - if it is greater than the limit shown it will confirm
this is your problem. Then choose reset to set it to zero. Turn the printer off then back on again. This will stop the lights flashing and restore normal operation.
Please post a new comment if youe require further assistance.

SOURCE: Where can I buy the waste ink absorber pads for both printers?
Hi
The waste ink are in the inside of your printer you need to get at it to clean out, but after this you got to reset it after you cleaned it or it will still not work, you may not have to get inside to clean it try this first to reset it.
Reset CANON PIXMA IP5000 printer
To reset the counter or to find out about it’s reading you have to use the service mode.
Turn off the printer, push the resume button and keep on pushing.
Press the power button and keep on pushing. Now let go off the resume button,
but not the power button. Push the resume button twice, then let go off all buttons.
You are now in service mode.
To leave the service mode, give the power button one push.
Push the resume buttons once, after that the power button once.
The first information page appears.
Push resume twice, then power once: You get the second page.
Newer PIXMA-printers print the first page as a test for the nozzles.
The second page contains a lot of information.
Our advice: Print the second page before and after reset of the waste ink counter.
Only then can you be sure that the reset was a success.
To reset the waste ink counter right now, push resume four times and after that power once.
Important: Before starting with normal printing again, switch off the printer.
That gets you out of service mode.
Then switch on the printer again and print, as you like
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.
