Hello tatankaswede, If you were getting analog channels, they are gone, as of Friday there are no more analog channels. Now, I would advise that you set you analog tuner to off and turn on your digital tuner. You may also need an amplified antenna, I am seeing this alot as I install these DTV units for people. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83 http://www.electron-age-technologies-llc.com

My tv does only get one or two channels they not good it's also saying no video and audio

Are you just using an antenna? All TV's today operate on a digital signal. If the signal is somewhat weak, no picture and sound will occur at all. On the old style TV's, you would get at least some picture and sound. That is because it ran on an analog signal. If you are using an antenna, either you need a much better antenna installed at a higher height, or you live in a rural mountainous area where there is few TV stations or the signal is being blocked by large buildings or hills.
If this is a brand new TV, that is connected to a cable TV provider, you have to do a channel scan search. This finds the channels and locks them into the memory of the TV. You only have to do this once, unless you have a power failure or accidentally unplug the TV.

Would like codes for the area of 56573

If you need a S.A.M.E. code, NOAA does these by county.

The zip code of 56573 is part of the county of Otter Tail, Minnesota, assuming no typing errors are involved. Thus the S.A.M.E. code is 027111 . Several transmitters cover this region 162.400 (channel 1), 162.500 (channel 5), 162.550 (channel 7), and 162.525 (channel 6) . However, the best transmitter choice is probably Channel 5 (162.500 WNG680) from Fergus Falls. The second best choice for Perham, MN is Channel 1 (162.400 Detroit Lakes WXM64 but it is a low power transmitter). See the link to the coverage map below.

All S.A.M.E. codes are available here: http://www.weather.gov/nwr/indexnw.htm . Click on your State and then look for your county. The Minnesota S.A.M.E. codes are listed here: http://www.weather.gov/nwr/CntyCov/nwrMN.htm . To see the coverage zones for each of the transmitters, see http://www.weather.gov/nwr/Maps/PHP/minnesota.php (the link to the coverage map is also on the County S.A.M.E. code list page on the left hand side of the page.

Otter Tail is a large county and none of the transmitters seem to cover every inch. So you will need to try your weather radio and see which transmitter gives you the best reception of tests, watches and warnings.

I hope this helps.

(who has several weather radios in the house. They are in different areas and set to receive different transmitters. I live near a county line and the signal strength depends on where in the house you are. We tried using an external antenna. We received the signal from a transmitter from another state at the desired frequency and didn't receive the local warnings.)

I installed the zenith Digital converter box lastnight..used an digital amplified indoor antenna..only got 5 channels but today its not recieving signal at all and i bought another indoor antenna thinking...

I understand your issue as not getting the Digital reception from your converter box. The antenna plays an important role in what you can get. If you still have the Amplified antenna try to reduce the amplification and readjust the antenna positions. You might have to do this several times until you get it right. Also, if you live in a city and not a rural location do not use an amplified antenna and see if it is any better.
Good Luck.
