Question about Kitchen Ranges

My Thermador hood PH48ZS stopped working ....was on...stopped.

I checked the Plugs, the fuse box, loose wires, etc. nothing obvious.
Any ideas? I could use a schematic for the boxes inside.

Hood has a remote blower (VTR1400Q). Only working on MED and HIGH setting.

See if it has a blower motor resistor(controls speeds) and replace it.
Look up model at repairclinic.com & see it the resistor is a listed part. See link, go to repair help by model number. Forget it. I just checked the only part they sell is the motor for $267. You can buy a new hood for that.

If the fuse box ground wire is loose then nothing controlled by that box will work. Check the fuses and wires to the lights for arcing or grounding of the power wire to the body.

Remote start just stopped working - I changed the battery and still nothing!

I would either check the remote batteries or the wiring harness that is in the car.

These harnesses are very elaborate and should only be fixed by a qualified person.

The wires (during install) are sometimes left bare and the salt, etc from the roads eat away at them.

This can cause a short and it can stop working. Also, check your fuse box because sometimes installers splice into the fuse box for power to the control mod (remote starter IC)..if a wire is loose in the fuse box you can say that was the problem.

The guages don't work, then, at any given time, they will just begin working. Nothing on the dash will work...no tach., speedo, temp, gas guage and automatic door locks...nothing. Then, out of the blue, as...

You have to remove the under hood fuse / relay box and disassemble , check for broken / corroded wires in the harness plugs at the bottom and broken solder joints at the board. I have repaired many of these for the same problem. hope this helps8c02778.jpg

Horn stopped working, radio stopped working, interior light won't come on, changed fuses still nothing

all of these things probably run off the same fuse if all of the fuses are OK the next thing to check is the wiring, there may be a loose wire or connection I dont know what fuses you have checked the main fuse box is under the hood but you may find one under the dash as well sometimes a fuse looks OK but it has a break in it that is hard to see if you have a continuity tester use that to check, it may be the accessories fuse that you need to check......hope this helps.....cheers

I had the same issues. Dash dead, tail lights dead. Fuses were fine, Dimmer relay was fine...So I got to the Tail Light Relay.

Removed the glove box, one screw on the right. Reach up (above the space where the glove box 'area' would be and there are 3 or 4 relays all sitting on top of a junction box. All of them were loose. I pushed them in...and voila! I was getting scared after the obvious.

I had the same problem. The fuse for the accessory plugs are not in the fuse box above the drivers feet it is in the group of fuses just above it. The owners manual describes it as location #16. It is a 15v fuse.
