Question about Computers & Internet
Driver: ATI SB450 (cannot find anywhere) Computer eMachines e4076 (eJunk) Win XP Proffesional x32
If your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers
if you don't have a motherboard disk you will have to download the drivers
http://download.cnet.com/2000-20_4.htmlTick in either the all software or windows software box
On the home page you should see a search tab just type in what you are looking for
IE: motherboard name audio driver you might have to try a few times to get it right
Rather doing a driver hunt
Note: it will find all of your outdated drivers
This is afree driver solutions
which will automatically search for and find the correct driver
You will have to update every driver individually once you update you might be asked whether you want to restart or make a system restore point.
Click no to both of these then continue updating each driver free then restart once all of the drivers have been updated.
It might take some time being free
Click start control panel sounds and audio volume advanced speakers make sure you have selected the
(appropriate speakers) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the selected correct speaker settingsthere
Click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it
If his does not fix the problem
Click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar for any further volume control settings you will need to right click on the speaker volumeiconsystem select adjust volume
Click start control panel sounds and audio volume advanced speakers select the appropriate speakers
from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand system
speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speaker plug/outlets is usually at the back of the computer
you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good with no dust as dust causes static electricity.
Clean your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is
no MOISTURE in the air line or use a can of compressed air specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit
dust causes static to build up in a computer

You need to get this software installed on your computer its called Driver Detective http://www.drivershq.com/. Since you cannot connect to the internet I suggest you find a way to save the download file and install it on your computer (use a friends computer). This program will let you know what drivers are needed. Once you know this, make a list of what drivers are needed and use another computer to save the downloaded files and transfer those programs to your computer and install them one by one. I hope this method helps It might be a little time consuming, but the end result is good.
