Unlike a conventional oven, your microwave does not have a provision for setting a specific temperature. There may be only settings for different levels of heating such as high and medium and a special setting for thawing frozen food. The manual for your microwave could be a useful source of information regarding operation.
Most microwaves run high at default, if roast and reheat are given that is your high setting, take one cup of water and run for 1 minute in each setting, the water that is the hottest is the high setting.
1 Use the number buttons to set a cooking time. You can set a time from one second to 99 minutes, 99 seconds. To set a time over one minute, enter the seconds too. For example, to set 20 minutes, enter 2, 0, 0, 0 . 2 If you want to set the power level to something other than High, press the Power Level button, then use the number buttons to enter a power level. Power Levels: Level Cooking PL 1Warm10 2Low20 3 Defrost 30 4Medium Low40 5Medium50 6 Simmer 60 7 Medium High 70 8 Reheat 80 9 Saute 90 10 High Hi
It looks like you would enter the cooking time then press POWER 1 to 10 times.
Once = 100%, twice = 90%, thrice = 80%, and so on, and "PL#" will appear in the display where "#" is the selected power level.
On some models, twice = 80% and thrice = 60%, etc. and "80%", or "60%", etc., will appear in the display.
Then press START.
Did that do it?
