4001 0 timer c1878

Paragon no longer makes timers, except for commercial defrost series.
There is a cheap knock-off that looks like the old 4001, but I cannot find seller any longer and do not recommend.

Instead, order 120Volt Intermatic T101 timer to replace Paragon 4001.
Or order T101R for indoor-outdoor weather-tight enclosure

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BVZB3E/?tag=waterheaterti-20

Paragon 4001 terminals are 1-2-3

Intermatic T101 terminals A-1-2
Paragon terminal 1 Hot goes to Intermatic terminal 1
Paragon terminal 2 Load goes to Intermatic terminal 2
Paragon terminal 3 Neutral goes to Intermatic terminal A

Intermatic makes replacement clock motors and trippers for T100 series, so this timer will last decades.

Tork also makes a line of mecanical timers sold through home depot under GE brand name:
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#15145
These are also good timers, but lighter construction than Intermatic T101.

Looking for set of trippers for paragon 4014-20 pool timer

Copy following link to identify timer:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Paragon-timers-and-manuals.html#4000

Paragon 4000 series uses X2772 tripper
Paragon is no longer making timers except for defrost times.
There is a new line of timers coming from China that looks identical to Paragon 4000, and uses same tripper. As a result this timer design and trippers could be around for years to come.

Replacement timer is Intermatic T104R 240Volt indoor outdoor enclosure, with replacement parts widely available

The clock on my paragon 4004-71m is not working

1) Clock motor has gone bad, but replacement clock motors are no longer made.
Copy following link for Paragon resources:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Paragon-timers-and-manuals.html

2) Paragon is not making parts or replacement motors.
4007-41 is 240Volt timer, replace timer with Intermatic T104
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html

3) Crossover wiring from Paragon 4004-71 to Intermatic T104:
Paragon 1 to Intermatic 1
Paragon 2 to Intermatic 2
Paragon 3 to Intermatic 4
Paragon 4 to Intermatic 3
Intermatic terminal A is generally not used for 240Volt

I want to replace a Paragon 4004 20M with a Intermatic T104M. The Paragon has 4 screws along the bottom and one more on each side higher up for a total of six. The Intermatic has six, plus the ground. ...

1) These timers are interchangeable.

2) These timers can be complicated. Both handle multiple voltages and can be wired many ways depending on load requirement, wire from breaker box.

3) Description of Load(s), voltage(s) and wiring is not described in question. Add a comment with specific information for detailed help.

4) The 4004-20 timer has wiring terminals 1 2 3 4, plus terminals 5 and 6 that are connected with a brass bridge to terminals 1 and 4.
Since the terminals are connected with brass bridge, terminals 5 and 6 can be considered same as terminals 1 and 2.
If the brass bridge is removed, then the timer can be wired many ways to control multiple voltages, and then terminals 5 and 6 are independent.

5) Intermatic T104 timer has terminals A 1 2 3 4
Intermatic T104 terminal A is not used except as a bare post for Neutral wire, and if timer is wired to control 277V or 440Volts. Or if timer is adapted in other manner.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html

6) When controlling ordinary 2-wire 240Volt load like a pool pump, here is crossover wiring.
Paragon terminal 1and5-bridged goes to Intermatic terminal 1
Paragon terminal 2 goes to Intermatic terminal 2
Paragon terminal 3 goes to Intermatic terminal 4
Paragon terminal 4and6-bridged goes to Intermatic terminal 3
Intermatic terminal A is not used in this case.

Paragon 4001-0 Clock is not working Unit is very flush to the wall. How is unit typically attached to the wall - in other words where are the screws located that attach it to the wall or does it slide...

I'm going to guess on this one. The cabinet is probably screwed to the wall. Shut off all power, remove whatever you can from the front to see the screws. If you purchase a new one, the internal parts may fit into the existing cabinet saving you from removing it.

I am looking for a source to replace timer motors and silver contacts on a bunch of paragon 8025 24 hour timers.

http://waterheatertimer.org/Paragon-timers-and-manuals.html#defrost

According to e-mail I got from Paragon in Nov 2010, Paragon is no longer making timers and parts.
Except for defrost timers.

I don't know how narrow the Paragon defrost line has become, if they still making their commercial refrigeration timers, or if they're just making smaller refrigerator defrost timers.
Or if Paragon has parts for the 8025

Can i substiute a 8141-00 in place of an 8141-00b they are both 120v 40 amp 2hp and i think 60 hz . they seem the same

Link below shows Paragon timers
http://waterheatertimer.org/Paragon-timers-and-manuals.html#defrost

8000 series manual shows 8141-00 is 120Volt:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/8000-series-defrost-sell-sheet.pdf

I am not sure what the suffix b means, and there are always little differences.
The difference could be something simple like knockouts, or mounting bracket.
Wiring and operation should be same since the sell sheet doesn't list 8141-00b as different model.

Where do I get a replacement motor for the 7008-00?

Intermatic clock motors are everywhere, but Paragon and Tork clock motors are a mystery.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Paragon-timers-and-manuals.html#7000
Shows manuals and resources

According to Paragon accessory chart:
http://www.paragontimecontrols.com/parts_accessories.htm
7000 series 240V clock motor M3193-71
7000 series 120V clock motor M3099-00

7008-00 is listed as 120V clock motor
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Paragon-7000-series-manual.pdf

I cannot find M3099 120V clock motor on internet
Now Paragon has contact-us page for customer service:
http://www.paragontimecontrols.com/contact/default.aspx

I will also contact Paragon, and post results here if Paragon responds.
